we really enjoyed in this hotel, great room, view to green garden and the river. good service consciousness, Good value for the price. very good restaurant in the hotel.

Nous avons apprécié cet hotel de par son cadre merveilleux. Fleuve à proximité. Attention moustiques (l hotel fournit des sprays sur demande) Canards poissons chambre spacieuse. Piscine très agréable. Hotel style Thai superbe. Restaurant vraiment delicieux. Je recommande.

A wonderful resort set on the banks of the Kok River. The resort is alive with wildlife and surrounded by stunning gardens full of flowers and ponds. The rooms are large, spacious and full of everything you would need. There is outside seating overlooking the gardens which is perfect for enjoying a beer.

The biggest problem with this property is that the address is wrong in *******. The map and ******* sent us up a little dirt road in the National park which we had a few close calls coming back down from. When we called the property they said yes we know ******* has it wrong. But they don’t seem to have any interest in fixing it. The property is beautifully landscaped and the staff is very very kind. The first room we had the air conditioner didn’t work. It also had an ant bed in the first room. The second room had a spider the size of our hand that lived in the shower rocks but when we looked it up it’s harmless so we left it alone. The other issue with the property is just the price. We stayed at nice resorts for half the price.

What a beautiful place. The whole place was so well designed and beautifully maintained. The plants and flowers were a delight. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely terrace looking onto the small lake. The pool area was small but perfectly adequate and we sat there for 2 afternoons in perfect peace. The view from the restaurant was superb, especially in the morning with the mist rising over the mountains. We really enjoyed the food, eating at the restaurant for 3 nights and trying a variety of well cooked, very tasty Thai dishes. The staff were all very helpful and smiley all the time! They seemed to genuinely want to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed being here and left feeling very relaxed. Thank you to everyone at Maekok River Village!

The Maekok River Village resort is a hidden gem! Highly recommended. A wonderful hotel in the Northern Thai mountains with loads of activities, beautiful grounds, friendly and helpful staff (including Brian the owner) and modern, comfortable rooms. Tranquility and relaxation in a perfect setting. Just disappointed we are not staying longer - but it is certainly somewhere we will come back to again.

The resort cannot be faulted - clean, well maintained, courteous and friendly staff, and good local and European food. Beautiful, well equipped rooms with great views. Best of all, the staff and owners are happy to advise on and arrange tours, personalised for you. Ask for a Pavarotti in the bar and get a large Singha beer!! The area around Thaton has a rich cultural history, and this resort is the ideal place from which to explore. The region also offers rivers and mountains and caves, so if your inclinations are towards physical activity rather than cultural experiences, you have the choice. There is an associated activity centre for school kids, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment if you enjoy the occasional sound of kids enjoying themselves. And finally, some of the cash flow from the resort is devoted to improving the educational opportunities for local kids. What is there not to like!

A large hotel complex near the Maekok River with extensive grounds, rooms are spread around the grounds. Room had A/C, fridge, hairdryer, tea and coffee. Shower room had a good supply of hot water. Big restaurant with good food, good breakfast with plenty of choice.

The hotel is very beautiful, it has a marvellous garden, beautiful and clean rooms, a nice dinningroom, the food was delisious and the staff very, very friendly. We had even fresh flowers in the room and bathroom. I loved to be there and was unhappy to leave.

Another fantastic stay at this beautiful resort. Bryan and Rosie were fantastic hosts to our group and the staff were friendly and attentive. The facilities and grounds as usual were superb with the gardens in particular an absolute picture at this time of year. On the food front both breakfast and dinner were delicious with many different options available.

Property is well maintained with staff constantly cleaning. Grounds are lush and full of interesting plants and flowers. Great bird life and views of the river and surrounds. Rooms spacious and comfortable with coffee, tea and mini bar. Plenty of bot water and privacy. Mosquitoes are in the area but not a problem inside. They offer many services including cooking classes, massage, pool etc. Restaurant was great and staff wonderful. The best part of this property is the work being done for the community. The property also administers a school and teaching program with facilities near by. All in all a great experience.

Nice hotel located on the river bank of the Kok river . Rooms are really nice despite a few visitors found ( spiders and other similar) but I guess this is very usual in Thailand. Hotel restaurant is really great and comes with an outstanding view on the river, fantastic food reasonably priced. Very quiet and romantic place
