What a lovely place, stayed at Villa Anna and the nature views were so breathtaking.Pefect for those seeking city breaks or just a road trip in the nature.Our host was so welcoming and informative about all details.... Highly Recommende it

We stayed in Villa Juhani for 4 days, it was very cozy with a pleasant inside temperature, although -8C outside. The Villa was equipped with an amazing Sauna and was located right infront of a beautiful frozen lake. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Kaisa. She explained all the details about the Villa very thoroughly and was very friendly and helpful. This Villa is a perfect holiday location for friends and family trips.

Memorable anniversary celebration at a hand-carved cottage by lake - and a tasty, beautiful dinner based on ingredients from near-by in the forest restaurant. Active dialogue and quick responses during the preparations.

We rented Villa Armas for a week in the beginning of September 2022, and even though I had my doubts about a week in a Finnish forest suiting us (we tend to do more city trips), we had an absolute blast! The cottages are well spaced, you don't really see the other guests, you may hear the occasional splash into the lake when they go for a swim, but other than that you are perfectly surrounded by silence. Armas was well equipped, simple, but it had absolutely everything you need. Excellent beds, sauna, open fire, BBQ in front of the deck, even a rowing boat and fishing rods! Finnish design (Iittala, Finlayson, Lapuan Kankurit, if I'm not mistaken) was represented in the kitchen as well as the linen. There was enough wood and charcoal for much more cooking on the barbie/heating the sauna than we needed during one week. Annu came to see us when we had arrived and explained the most important things - the rest was pretty much self explanatory. And there's also a comprehensive folder with a lot of information - practical about the cottage as well as general about the surrounding nature and places to visit. The lake views are spectacular and so is the stillness. It is really a hidden gem in the middle of the forest!! I warmly recommend Hawkhill to anyone looking to recharge their batteries or just simply go hiking/swimming/rowing/sup boarding etc! If you are visiting outside Finland, it's very easy to access from the airport (it's very useful to rent a car from the airport for grocery shopping, visiting Helsinki etc) and very easy and fast communication with the owners.

Me and my 3 doughters stayed at vila livari, the vila is well equipped , lovely kitchen with everything that you need, great sauna, very spacious and cozy. The forest and the lake are beutiful and the outside of the vila is spacious and private . The staff is very freindly. we had a lovely Finnish experience!! Highly reccommended!!!!

We just returned from a relaxing 2 weeks stay at Villa Maria. This was our 3rd visit to Hawkhill Cottage Resort and either with family or with friends we always had wonderful days right next to Nuuksio National Park just 45 minutes drive from Helsinki Intl Airport with joyful experiences while hiking, canoeing, berry and mushroom picking or just relaxing. The cottage is perfectly equipped, and the service caring and supportive. All our exspectations were met and we are planning to return again.
