We had a magical experience at the hotel. Well-maintained property with courteous staff, excellent service and great food. The hotel is located on the highway and can be missed, but once inside the beauty of the place overwhelms you. We fell in love with the garden area overlooking the deodar forests and also spent a good amount of time in the games room. Would love to visit again.

A magical trip to kanatal the heritage property run by Suman Bhatia and her husband Les. The wonderful personalised service , courtesy , hospitality , and food was top class .. a must visit . Great weather through the year.. From spring into winter for snow.

We had a good stay at The Hermitage. The staff was very helpful and courteous and went out of the way to meet our requests. The property has multiple terraces for one to enjoy the view. The rooms were wood panelled and comfortable. The food was quite good and the buffet had good variety.

Highlights : service from Mr. Sarvesh in fnb. He was friendly and courteous. Food was good! Bonfire experience was lovely. Owners are friendly and interacted with us. Improvement : rooms need an upkeep for sure. Bathrooms are not well planned. One of the bathroom you cross the bath area to go to the commode which is quite senseless one can slip and fall if floor is wet post shower. Garbage was burnt outside the rooms in the forest which I felt is something that the hotel needs to change. They need to find a better way for garbage disposal otherwise what is the point of being in nature if one is going to eventually ruin it. I hope these feedbacks are taken in the right spirit.

We checked in at 11.30 in the morning, and the process was smooth. The resort nestled amidst all-around solitude in Kanatal, a not so popular hill station in Uttarakhand . We  booked in a double Delux room with Valley View.  Let us now move to the review of facilities and my experience ( Rating has been assigned in a scale of 1 to 5 , 5 being highest):- A. Location : Located in the wilderness , nestled between green pine forest and apple orchards  80 km from Rishikesh. SUV costs Rs. 5000 one way from Jolly Grant. The transfer was smooth. The resort is built in style with  curated green open space and has  a viewing area to catch a grand view of the majestic Trishul range. (Rating 4.85). B. Room :  The double delux room in the ground floor allocated to us was  about 200 square feet with a  verandah facing lush green pine forest. The room was elegantly furnished with matching fittings, has a large single bed with side tables on both sides, a wardrobe, and a dressing table . Bed was rightly soft and comfy with linens . The room had  wooden flooring and clean and have amenities like tea making facility, a separate pantry . Adequate bottles of water are provided, and tea  pouches are replaced every day. The toilet is big in size and with a separate changing area. Toilet is fitted with sanitary fitings of acceptable quality and geyser. Toileteries like shampoo pouches and body lotion were provided. The quality of toileteries is standard. The room is airy with a large window. Heaters are provided ***** with an electric heated mattress. Pillows and quilt provided are very good. Additional pillows and blankets are provided on request. (Rating 4.75) C. Facilities : The resort has all the facilities that you require for a relaxed holiday amidst nature. There is a common sitting area and a common dining hall. They have a  well curated lawn with a bonfire area, sitting arrangement with sun umbrella. The bungalow has a large shared living area. Rooms do  have satellite TV and WIFI, though the signal is not very strong , being located in a remote area .They have one common dining room, where food can be pre ordered. There is an indoor games and kids' play area. The main attraction is the viewing area from where the view is awesome.  Resort arrange tours.(Rating 4.75) D. Dining options: The hotel has a dining room where a reasonable variety of cuisines are served . Food  is a home cooked style and gives a choice of Indian, Asian cuisines. You can have your food in the dining room, in-room, or at the lawn. The quality of food is very good and pahadi cuusines are must try out.(Rating 4.75). E. Overall service : The hotel has a very well-behaved team of staff at the reception and also at its housekeeping and dinjbg room. All requests are met immediatel
