維多利亞苑汽車旅館(Victoria Court Motor Lodge)

Our room wasn’t ready for check in until over an hour after we arrived (which was about 15 mins after advertised checkin time). And the main bed was a fold down bed- not very comfortable at all, nor was the fold out sofa bed. We would recommend changing the bed for a “normal” mattress and base. Otherwise the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Great locality easy to access from motorway, easy walk to Cuba St, city, TSB Arena, Te Papa. Having car parking a huge bonus. Plenty of eating places nearby. Lovely hosts. Property is a little tired and basic but all you need for a couple of nights in the city.

Stayed for 6 nights in July. Have stayed before. Place has deteriorated since then. Unit was clean and housekeeping was reliable. There were lots of small maintenance things that need attention - window catches broken, lights not working. Very sp**** kitchen equipment - 1 bread knife and 1 frypan. A heater was replaced when requested. The last night of our stay was interrupted by repeated fire alarms - which seemed to be a malfunction - although we never received any communication about this. It is in a good location and the room configuration with 2 bedrooms, worked well for us.

The motel was very handy to everything. We could walk into the shopping area, and the Wellington waterfront. The staff were great and happily looked after our luggage as we got there early and the room wasn't quite ready.

Sounds like most rooms are getting renovated, ours had not been yet. That being said there is parking despite it being right in the middle of Wellington (an awesome city, by the way) and can walk to a ton of restaurants/bars very easily.

Exactly what we needed in a motel. Clean and convenient. Don’t expect anything fancy. It’s basic and suited our needs of free parking and close to many restaurants, shops, and museums.
