Let me start by saying that the woman who owns this establishment is very nice and friendly. She helped us order pizza because there is no place to eat within walking distance. She even offered to put our wet clothes in the dryer. She is the reason that I gave this place two stars instead of one. The rooms did not seem clean, I found a candy wrapper and a hairball under my bed, black mold in the sink and the light switch was outside of the room. The place felt like a fire trap and indeed we found a two-story rope ladder, which I was grateful for, in the corner of our room. There was no outlet near the teapot and we had to move it to the floor on the other side of the room to use it. This was the only place that we were given a warm canned tomato rather than a grilled fresh tomato for breakfast. The most upsetting experience for me was that there were two dogs in cages near the dryer and there seem to be a large kennel outback. We were booked by Celtic Tours here.

Me and my wife have just spent a lovely week in the brecon beacons and the highlight of our holiday was definitely the two horse treks we did here. This was only the third and fourth time we had ridden a horse, but the horses were lovely as was our instructor. On our second trek here we were riding up and down fairly rugged terrain and across the beautiful brecon beacons. The whole experience was amazing and I would highly recommend this to anyone. Already looking forward to coming back next year.

I have enquired about booking trekking for my family on holiday via whatsapp as suggested on the website, that was 4 days ago, the message has been read but I have still not had a reply, very poor and unprofessional treatment. Perhaps my enquiry was not for a substantial booking hence been ignored.

Myself and my 2 children stayed at the b&b overnight. Plenty of information was sent to me prior to our arrival. We were warmly welcomed and reassured, by staff at the stable, that we were in the correct place. The room was perfectly sized, clean, tidy and pleasantly decorated. The scenery surrounding the b&b is beautiful. Just a calm 3 minute walk down the road you'll find a stunning country park which made a really lovely pre-dinner walk. We had breakfast in the morning which was delivered to our room and was delicious! Even my fussy children enjoyed it, which is a big deal! Karen is by far the most wonderful, caring host I have encountered. You can really see how passionate she is about ensuring guests have a comfortable stay here. All in all I would absolutely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a lovely countryside getaway.

Me, my son and 73yr old Dad went on a horse trek. We had a fabulous time. Considering my dad struggles to walk waiting for his new knee operation, this was perfect memory making adventure. This will be our 2nd horse trek with Kirsty this year (so far). Absolutely love this place! Thank u Kirsty! U are amazing! See u all soon Simone, Jarvis & Dai xxx

Stayed there for 3 nights. It was booked as bed and breakfast, but we were given misleading information. A few weeks before the payment was taken, Pentre Riding Stables sent me a message saying that the breakfast will be served to the room. I didn't pay much attention to this until the last minute before arrival when I started asking questions about what Thom and how they are serving that breakfast. I received a response that the breakfast is a hamper basket and you have to prepare your breakfast from what your are given. In the basket we were given a few slices of cheap toast bread, two crumpets, two pancakes, a few little butters and two little marmalades, a few biscuits, a bottle of milk and a bottle of juice. There were jars of sugars sachets and cereal. No tea or coffee. On the last morning the jar of cereal disappeared. All that was given for 3 people. If we did not go shopping, we would be starving. All stuff was cheap stuff from Tesco. In the instructions book, there was information that due to COVID restrictions they are not serving cooked breakfasts. A bit outdated. There was no sink in the room, so we had to wash up in the bathroom basin which was extremely small. There was a microwave, a leaky kettle and a fridge in the room. The owner said that they are planning to install a kitchen sink in the room, but the room is always booked so there is no time to do so. The bathroom was spacious enough, however smelly after using shower. Some plumbing work is definitely needed there. The shower sliding door were not properly fitted and there was a hole left in the ceiling. We stayed in room 1, ground floor. The room was spacious, but the door definitely needs some repair. There is no WiFi or telephone signal in the building and nearby area, which makes things a bit difficult if you want to search information up. Also it makes it rather impossible to contact your hosts if anything in the room goes wrong. On the positive side, our TV broke on the second day and was replaced straight away with a new one.
