Brad and Gill are amazing hosts and do everything to make your stay special Facilities are excellent, very festive, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lots of small additions add to the experience Breakfast, although not cooked is fantastic quality and you do not go away hungry

I was suspicious that the glowing reviews on here were too good to be true. I was wrong. This really is excellent, friendly helpful greeting and service, a clean, quiet, comfortable room , an excellent breakfast, and a very reasonable price. 100% recommended….

Just fabulous as always. Rooms are of an extremely high standard they are just stunning, clean and well presented. Brad is so welcoming as a host and knowledgable of the area. Breakfast is perfect to set you up for the day. It’s a fantastic base for exploring Dartmoor and into Cornwall. Highly recommend

We returned after a year to find the hotel to be of the same impeccable standard to cleanliness, comfort and ambience. Always given a friendly welcome by Brad, the room (Room 2) had all the ‘bells and whistles’ to make our stay superb. We stayed for three nights. Aware the conventional wisdom suggests that ‘there is no place like home’ - the Tavistock House Hotel challenges this wisdom. It is really home from home.

We recently found an excellent hotel in Tavistock. Perfectly positioned a few minutes walk from the centre, which was easily accessible and quite in the evening. The owners were exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable which is a credit to this independent hotel. The cleanliness and atmosphere was first rate with no expense spared to achieve their goals. The rooms were of a very high standard with all modern amenities as well as the Continental breakfast. We stay at many hotels during the year and can honestly say, that this establishment rates equal to 'high end' places but without the high price tag! All in all, if you're looking for a reasonably priced fantastic hotel, you would be hard pushed to find better.

We visited the Tavistock House Hotel in February 2024 and were really impressed with the first class quality of the accomodation with beautiful furnishings and top quality bedding. The hotel itself has been renovated to a very high standard. It is very peaceful and within an easy few minute walk of the town centre where there are excellent restaurants. The owner Brad is incredibly friendly and helpful. He made us very welcome during our stay and nothing was too much trouble for him. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned in September 2024 with no hesitation and have already booked our third stay.
