Holiday Inn Taunton-Foxboro Area

We spent a couple of nights here while exploring Eastern Mass, and other than the overpriced breakfast buffet, had no real issues. The service was fine, the room was clean, and everything worked. It's just that for the same price, other hotels have offered better versions of what we got here. The breakfast buffet wasn't terrible, but not worth the $15 a person price, so the 2nd morning we ate out. Truth is, other hotels we stayed at on the trip offered the same items in their buffet but included it in the price. There wasn't anything that would keep me from staying here again, but I'll eat breakfast somewhere else.

We selected the Clarion because we wanted to stay at a place that had restaurants and a bar, as well as breakfast in the morning. This hotel's website claims there are 2 restaurants, and one bar. The bar is closed on Thursdays and Sundays, which fit our plans to meet friends there on Wednesday evening for drinks, and then dinner at "The Grille". There was no open restaurant, only a limited menu that could be ordered at the front desk and brought up to our room, the bar was dark and closed. Then in the morning, I wanted a small bite to eat. When we got to the main restaurant, a very unpleasant woman told us that we could only order the $15 buffet! WHAT??? All I wanted was a piece of toast and some juice! So, we ended up ordering 2 buffet breakfasts, which was cold, consisted of rubbery bacon and dry hard to chew Chorizo, bland scrambled eggs, tasteless potato cubes, and an assortment of bagels and breads, that were uncovered and on an open tray for everyone to touch. It was TERRIBLE!!!!! The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable, although the covers were very thin, I asked the front desk for a blanket, was told they'd bring me one, of course, that did not happen. Very disappointed with our stay and we will not waste our money here again.

The hotel was very nice. It was quite clean with very friendly staff. However the conference room hall was messy and dirty. There were lemon slices and random scraps of paper on the floor. But otherwise, our stay was very nice. The beds were clean and the rooms were very spacious.

Reservation was cancelled with no prior notification, drove 3 hours and front desk and phone customer service did not help at all even when proof of reservation was shown, I travel almost every week of the year I will never stay at a “choice” hotel again that is for sure
