My wife and I wanted to surprise our son and his partner and take them somewhere for a short stay that would totally engulf them with wonder and relaxation. Cliveden was our first choice, our rooms were exceptional with breath taking views, We booked a short cruise on the Belmont and enjoyed the Thames in the sunshine with Gary who is a very informative skipper. After our trip we had a light lunch at the Stables which was a delight followed by a relaxing afternoon until our evening meal. Dinning at the the Cliveden is always something to saviour the quality of the produce used for all catering is first class and we had a wonderful meal, the cheese board and wines deserved special note. The next day following a walk in the beautiful gardens and a leisurely breakfast we spent the rest of our time relaxing at the spa. The grandeur of Cliveden is renowned and rightly so, however our stay was made more enjoyable and memorable by the wonderful staff who deserve a very special mention, I believe we encountered nearly everyone who is client facing and they were all efficient and professional but with genuine warmth and smiles, nothing was an issue or too difficult . For us the main reason for our stay was to reset following a extremely sad time for our son and his partner and ourselves. Our stay was mission accomplished the family although not completely healed have moved a great deal on. Thank you Cliveden and the wonderful staff, you have an exceptional offering.

had an excellent lunch a few weeks ago, was a bit worried it would be cold as we were seated outside but the heaters kicked in and it was toasty! Food was excellent including great veggie options. Service as always is impeccable, we had a lovely waiter who took great care of our party of 7. After lunch we had a walk around the grounds, take the option where you can arrive by boat to Cliveden, it makes the whole experience extra special.

Took my parents for a night away in August. We had the Buckingham suite and the Westminster. Even though the Buckingham was slightly spooky in the view of my partner, it was amazing. Upon arrival the greeting team were amazing everything was taken care of. The small touches made all the difference. This place really does live up to its reputation. Steeped in history and amazing service and food. Spa was lovely. Staff made the break that little bit extra special.

If we went on a spring or fall weekend we would have given the hotel a 4, but we were there in the summer. The heat wave had broke and it was mid 70s outside, but significantly hotter than that in the Vanderbilt room. Our first night there was the worst night of sleep our family of four (kids 5 and 8) has had on a vacation because it was hot, stuffy and generally uncomfortable. They brought us a fancy fan but that did very little. The next day we spoke to the on duty manager who was very nice. They brought a portable AC unit. When the guys came to set it up, they said to us that we weren’t joking about how hot it was in there. They told us they couldn’t leave it over night but no one came and took it so we kept it overnight and everyone actually slept. Away from sleeping in a hot box, the hotel was a good experience. It is very nice to have the grounds to yourself after the tourists have gone for the day. Breakfast was nice and the staff was great. The pool is a lovely area although the pool itself was a tad cold and there were quite a few dead bugs floating in it when we went late in the day. If you do want AC the gym was the best place to go. We had one lunch at the Astor Grill and that was good. We had two excellent dinners in Bray (Caldesi and The Crown) which is a 15 minute Uber away.

We had Afternoon Tea in the grandest of locations to celebrate my Mother's 90th birthday and my parent's 70th wedding anniversary. We had an amazing experience; the staff was fantastic and the dining experience was truly exceptional & memorable. The staff were extremely accommodating to our needs and warm and friendly which made us all feel special. Service was attentive. Truly a five-star location for a memorable afternoon tea

My wife and I went to Cliveden House for afternoon tea. In one word...FANTASTIC. The food and selections of teas were very good. A good selection. If you want more you only have to ask. The staff were very polite and attentive. We will be back.

Wonderful pace to relax and recharge. Taster menu is a real treat. Lovely outsoor pool. Staff provide wxcwllent awrvice but friendly and not „stuffy“. This was our third visit and a great trip before school restart.
