La Oveja Tamarindo Hostel & Surf Camp

Monica is the best surf instructor I ever had😍 She gives you good advices, and are really nice and funny to hang around. You can see that she enjoys her work! Will higly reccomend surf lessons with her! It doesnt matter if you are a beginner or not.

i get that this is a town with young tourists and i am also one that loves to party and have beers at the hostel but we just couldnt sleep all week, our private room didnt had a closed window so outside is litterely the speakers blasting in the room until midnight at least and this is everyday of the week. plus you hear people talking all night all around the rooms. its sad because the place has alot of potential and should really think about those things. the restaurant is cool tho, and hostel was clean and fine for the rest

La Oveja Negra is a Hotel, Hostel, Surfcamp, and Restaurant. I stayed in the hostel part, not the hotel. From firsthand experience I can highly recommend the hostel, surfcamp, and restaurant. The vibe is really chill, the surfcamp instructors were great, I improved considerably with two 3 day lesson packages.

It was Well worth the spend ($60USD) on private surfing lessons for our 17 year old. He was up within 30 minutes and really loved chatting with his instructor while waiting for waves. Highly recommend!
