中心飯店(Center Hotel)

È stato il peggior pernottamento di sempre. Arrivati in tarda serata, la receptionist si è mostrata sin da subito scontrosa, rispondendo quasi seccata alle domande, del tutto lecite, che le ponevo. Dopo un piccolo disguido relativo alla prenotazione delle camere, con non poca saccenza mi invita caldamente a raggiungerla dietro il bancone affinché potesse mostrarmi lo storico delle prenotazioni. Scusandomi prontamente, salgo in camera che scopro essere una bettola: sporca e maleodorante. Tuttavia, quest’ultima mostrava una nota positiva, probabilmente l’unica: l’affaccio alla strada. Decido, quindi, di lasciar perdere ulteriori questioni per evitare di rovinarmi la vacanza nella capitale estone. La stessa sera, prima di uscire e per ricominciare con il piede giusto, chiedo alla stessa receptionist informazioni riguardanti la colazione (inclusa nel prezzo). Lei, stizzita e rabbiosa, indica con un dito il tabellone contenente gli orari previsti per la colazione. Non contento, quindi, insisto e chiedo dove venisse servita. Con poco garbo e incollerita, risponde con un secco “again?” Allorché, decido di rispondere a tono, ricevendo tutt’altro che una risposta esaustiva: una fredda indifferenza motivata da un “devo rispondere al telefono, Mr”. La mattina dopo, scopro che forse il problema non era la receptionist ma la selezione di gran parte dello staff. Giunti nel fatidico bar dell’hotel, mi accingo a prendere tutto ciò che il buffet offriva, dolce e salato, da buon italiano. Niente da dire, tutto discreto. Mentre mangiavo, il lavapiatti - dalla finestrella che dava al bar - e la cameriera non mi hanno tolto gli occhi di dosso. Non mi spiegavo il perché. A questo punto, la signora si dilegua per poi tornare con la receptionist (diversa da quella della sera precedente). Indispettita, indica il nostro tavolo, al cui centro, oltre le cose che stavamo degustando in quel momento, vi erano quattro muffin che avremmo mangiato da lì a poco. La receptioist, alla visione di cotanta illegalità, si permette di disturbarci dicendoci che non era assolutamente permesso portare cibo al di fuori del bar, incosciente del fatto che quei dolcetti sarebbero stati poco dopo consumati e che dietro quel gesto non c’era nessuna malizia se non sei amici abbastanza affamati. Il resto è storia. Sconsiglio fortemente.

Bom custo benefício. Não fica perto das atrações turísticas e é uma boa caminhada do terminal urbano. Quarto pequeno. Janela não abre, sem ar condicionado. No verão é um pouco complicado. Internet não era muito boa. A falta do ar condicionado complica no verão

Nos tocó una habitación mini que apenas permitía que nos diesemos la vuelta y un mini-lavabo que lavándose la cara uno ya mojaba el suelo. Recompensa el centro histórico de Tallinn pero en fin

Room was ok, didn’t spend much time there anyways but breakfast needs small improvement for example there wasn’t much food to choose from and if people ate something it wasn’t refilled if you didn’t ask. Also, I’d recommend buying a toaster for the bread because it was kinda dry.

you get exactly what you pay for!! clean, simple rooms, very warm despite it being -15° outside. the staff were great, too. honestly, your saving grace if you're travelling on a budget ( 24 hour reception!!) and aren't looking for luxury

Basic Hotel. Old fashioned. Good location, close to Old City and Shopping Malls (Tallinn Kaubamaja and Nautica ( Rimi Hyper). I paid 30 EUR for room with bathroom and breakfast incl. Not bad. What I didn’t like was very tiny pillow and thin blanket.

Good location - it's about a 10-15 minutes walk to the old town / city centre. Price was reasonable and the room was solid. I got a twin room instead of a single room, which was not extremely spacious but clean and reasonably equipped. My room faced the busy street, meaning it was a bit noisy at night - but overall, the noise level was not disturbing from my point of view. Some staff members were super friendly (one receptionist told me just to keep the smile on my face), while another one just told me "check-in is from 3pm" when I just walked it and mentioned that I have a reservation. Do not expect too much from the breakfast - it was a rather simple buffet. Boiled eggs were obviously left in the water for too long, and also the rest was not really convincing as far as taste is concerned. However, given the fact that it was already included in the price, it was alright. So overall, as long as you are looking for a rather clean room at decent fares and do not expect too much apart from that, Center Hotel is a good choice for you.

I was a return customer at Center Hotel. I booked here again for this visit, and wasn't disappointed at all. Very happy with my stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great complimentary breakfast, location is amazing in center of town. Right on the streetcar route, and even walking distance to Tallinn Old Town. I recommend this hotel.

Good location for town and the old town and also if you are wanting to head out of Tallinn towards Pirita and Viimsi. Nice friendly staff on reception and in the breakfast room. The TV's in the rooms could be better and at least have the standard ETV channels, and there is a kettle but no coffee cups etc. Other than that the room was clean, tidy and warm. Good value for money.
