I stayed at Sun Resort Bandhavgarh with my four other family members including my parents and child from 18.12.2022 to 21.12.2022. The property is very close (approximately 500 meters away) to the famous Tala gate of the Bandhavgarh Reserve Forest. Bandhavgarh Reserve Forest has three zones to visit viz. Khitauli, Magadhi and Tala and most of the Hotels or Resorts are located near Tala Gate. Apart from that there are very few hotels just one or two at other distant places or near the other zones. So, it is wise to stay near the Tala Gate. And if anyone doesn’t expect 5-star accommodation in this jungle area then Sun Resort is one of the best places to stay. The property offers two types of rooms – AC Deluxe Room and AC Super Deluxe Room. Deluxe rooms are on the ground floor and Super Deluxe Rooms are on the first floor and more spacious than the Deluxe Rooms. We booked Super Deluxe Rooms and stayed at room no. 116 and 117. Super Deluxe rooms 114, and 115 shares a common balcony and so also rooms 116, and 117. From this balcony the inside premise of the resort is visible. There is also a narrow passage joining all these four rooms at the opposite side of the balcony from where the buffer zone is visible though I shouldn’t say the view is great from there. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean and have all the basic amenities. The bathroom is also spacious and fitted with a geyser so that in the winter season hot water is available all the time. Rooms are cleaned every day. In the winter season, they provide a room heater on request for which they billed a nominal amount. The resort also has an in-house restaurant and the food is also very much tasty. Check-in and out are smooth. All the staffs are humble and courteous and very much helpful. In general room service or restaurant, facility starts at 8 a.m. in the morning but if anyone needs tea or light breakfast then that was available before that time. But for that, they should be pre-informed on the earlier day. For example, on the day of the jungle safari, we requested them to serve the tea at 5:30 a.m. and they served that on time. Inside the premise, there is a big lawn and a swimming pool. So, anyone can enjoy leisure time in any of those places. There is provision for the arrangement of a Jeep Safari in the Bandhavgarh National Forest though we do not avail of that because we have made that arrangement in advance. But if anyone wishes then they can talk with them but It is better to do that well in advance otherwise it may be difficult to get the booking. Thus overall, it is a nice stay in the Sun Resort Bandhavgarh and I wish to stay again there.

Nice Resort, good food, Nice pool. Enjoyed the Bandavgarh Tiger reserve as safari jeeps came at punctual time to the resort for pick-up in early morning and afternoon. The Lawn and the swimming pool was great to relax after a exhorted Safari in Summer.
