Wat een heerlijke oase om te acclimatiseren in NZ ! Heerlijke plek in prachtige tuin met magnifique uitzicht . Comfortabele en smaakvol ingerichte kamer en bovenal Jane , onze host ! Ze kan toveren met eieren en organiseert elke ochtend een fantastisch ontbijt , grote klasse!

Das L'Abri ist ein wunderbar gelegenes Haus in einem liebevoll angelegten Garten. Hier laufen die Hühner frei herum, der Gemüsegarten wird wunderbar gepflegt und man bekommt das frischeste Frühstück ever!! Ein großes Lob an Jane wir haben uns wunderbar wohl gefühlt!.

One of the nicest B&B’s in New Zealand. It is our 3rd stay and we still marvel at its beautiful views. Jayne is a fantastic host and her breakfasts a delight. Rooms are really comfortable and there is a lovely lounge in which to relax and enjoy the views. It’s conveniently placed with a five minute drive into Akaroa a quaint old French settlement on the water.

What a beautiful BnB a few minutes from Akaroa. Comfortable lounge and gorgeous views from the deck looking over the pretty garden out to the bay. Delicious breakfast and Jane is a wonderful host. Stayed one night on a road trip with my parents. Highly recommend.

We stayed just one night in this wonderful hostal. The owner, Jane, makes your stay really unforgettable. We had a wonderful room with an incredible view over the nice garden and the sea. It was like a painting, just unreal. Room and bathroom very nice and super clean. The place is really quiet to relax and enjoy nature. Jane made a wonderful breakfast in her living room. We loved to meet her cat Rosie and have the oportunity to talk with other guests. Really very familiar atmosphere, we enjoyed it a lot and would have liked to stay more time in this place. About 5 minutes to the center of Akaroa where you have diferent restaurants and can enjoy the nice walk near the sea and life the history of this unique place. Thank you Jane for this wonderful experience. Highly recommended. We would love to come back. Francisco and Ute

Jane our hostess was most welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed, and was well equipped in the kitchen. There is a bath, shower and washing in the cottage. It was very peaceful, with lovely views. The gardens are stunning and well maintained. Breakfast is served in Jane’s house, homemade and home cooked by Jane. L’abri is in a tiny hamlet on the lake, called Takamatua. It’s a 5 min drive to Akaroa which has plenty of shops and places to eat. Highly recommended

Absolutely gorgeous B&B, beautifully furnished and with lovely gardens. Our room had an amazing view of the bay and the hills of the Banks Peninsula. The small patio in front of the room was a plus. So was the couch and the espresso maker in the room and the comfortable bed and exquisite embroidered linens. Breakfast was cooked in the common living room/kitchen area by the fabulous host, Jane, and included fresh fruit, breads and the best part - eggs made to order. All delicious. Also a nice opportunity to meet other guests. A short drive outside of Akaroa, so it is best to have a car.
