Terrific B&B. It’s steps from the ferry (look for the red dive flag on the opposite side of the harbor). Rooms are spacious and very clean. WIFI is excellent. They are friendly and will do their best to ensure you have a happy stay in their island. They rent motorcycles (e-motorcycles if you don’t have an international permit for motorcycles) for TWD $600 per 24 hours and offer scuba diving. The dives in Green Island are surprisingly good. The coral is in excellent condition despite last years’s typhoon. Like many parts of the world, it’s overfished and you’ll only see small fish. Turtles and banded sea kraits do abound, however. Chicken Reef (Green Island’s signature dive) and Hole She (shallow cavern dive) were my favorites. Lian China’s equipment is good and their dive master was very experienced and helpful. They even put an English speaking AOW staff member in the water with me to translate. Plus the DM takes photos and videos of all your dives and you can upload them onto your phone. Now that’s service! Water temp end May is 27-28C. (You are diving in the Philippine Sea.) The dive lodge is conveniently located centrally from the lighthouse and White Terror Prison Museum on one side of the island and the Zhaori hot springs on the other side. It’s a 15 minute walk into the main street of the village.
