Very good experience! Perfect!

The owners are some of the nicest people you could meet so I don’t really want to say anything negative but I feel I should mention when we were staying the road outside was closed for access from 8:45 to 1pm for an event We should have been told this at booking not when checking in Also it is directly under the local airport Some noise but for fly late and first noise around 7am but soon passes Rooms spotless and no apparent noise from neighbours Despite my negative comments I would use again

100% recommend. We stayed as a group to attend a leisure marching function in Nelson. Amazing motels, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds, spacious. Fantastic shower best I've personally come across. Kitchen extemely well equiped with full size oven and large fridge-freezer. Friendly owners and so obliging. Great swimming pool and BBQ area. Pool heated. Very close to eateries and the beautiful Tahunanui Beach. We didnt want to leave! 3rd time staying here and will certainly be back again.

Clean and friendly service. Very accommodating when we needed a ground floor room at the last minute. Location not close to anything walkable. Bathroom had doors that didn’t close and showing the need for maintenance. It’s a nice looking place but don’t look too close.

This was such a great little family owned motel. Spotlessly clean, laundry facilities, small pool, comfortable beds, equipped kitchen. The owner is such a wonderful host, friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn’t be happier with our stay. We would highly recommend this motel.

We stayed 3 nights, Room was serviced every day. Very comfortable unit with everything we needed. Motel is in a nice area and very handy to everything including the airport. On a lighter note, if the motel manager recommends the local Indian restaurant to his guests, he should ensure there is extra toilet paper in the room, especially if you have the hot Lamb Madras. The food was absolutely delicious. Overall, our stay in Nelson was fabulous and we highly recommend The Arcadia Motel.

We stayed at the motel for one night after 2.5 weeks of tramping, paddling, and camping in the bush. The studio suite was fantastic - well equipped with cookware, appliances, and essentially everything we needed. There was lots of space outside to hang, dry, clean, and organize our gear. The queen bed was comfortable and the satellite TV provided plenty of entertainment while winding down at the end of the night. The highlight for us was the staff hospitality. We received great information about local restaurants, shops, and amenities, while Andy and Jena also helped us tremendously with an issue we did not have time to resolve ourselves due to an early morning flight. They truly went above and beyond for two people they had just met. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Arcadia when in Nelson. You will not regret it.

Unfortunately a bunch of people outside drinking, swearing etc. when I arrived was not a great impression. Noisy neighbors. I am assuming the facility is used for emergency housing which wo0uld have been nice to know.
