had a very pleasant stay. The front desk gentleman was extremely kind and helpful, and his warm hospitality made me feel very welcome.

The location and beach access is phenomenal! We sat in the lounge chairs on the beach and enjoyed the view of the lake and mountains. It’s spectacular. The property is aging, and for sale. I’m glad we got to enjoy it while it still exists. The staff is so helpful and friendly.

Mouse running around our room We had a mouse running around our room. While I realize that "wildlife" is common in the mountains, a rodent sprinting from the bedroom into the kitchen (and back) was pretty shocking to me and my young children. The office was closed at the time (they are currently only open from 9-5:30), and we were already starting to pack up, so we just left as quickly as we could.  I reported the mouse to the man who was working in front of the office and offered to take our keys, but surprisingly he acted like it wasn't a big deal and just nodded. I also called to leave a message for the office but they don't have voicemail. I then sent an email about the issue that no one responded to. I would have expected that some action would be taken to remove the mouse so that the next guests didn't experience the same distress, so the lack of acknowledgement made the entire situation even more upsetting.  We had a relatively nice stay otherwise, so this was an unfortunate end to our trip.

Uncomfortable We had driven 6 hours & were looking forward to our stay in Lake Tahoe. Our room's heater didn't work & the portable heater didn't work. It was November & very cold outside & our room was very cold. We called the office & they sent a man to check the heater & he informed us that it was broken & needed to replacing. He said someone would be there in 15 minutes to replace. We waited 30 minutes & no one came. The office was closed by this time & we couldn't ask for another room. There were also dead & crispy bugs on the floor next to the sliding glass door. Apparently, the floor had not been cleaned in some time. The couch was heavily stained & dirty. We didn't want sleep in that room, so we collected all our baggage & left within the hour & drove done the road to another hotel, which luckily had vacancy. It's too bad because it was right on the beach & we spent a lot of time looking online for a lake setting. Don't recommend.

Sweet stop for a night! Sweet little gem on the water at a great price. Clean and well stocked as a studio. The queen bed advertised was actually a Murphy bed double. But all else, including staff was wonderful!
