蓋口旅舍

Wat een heerlijke plek om te landen in Swellendam ! De lodge ligt net buiten het dorp midden in de natuur met indrukwekkend uitzicht. De kamer was heel ruim en compleet ingericht met heerlijk uitzicht op de tuin . Ontbijt was voortreffelijk en de ontvangst heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam . Helaas regende het , het enige minpuntje !!

Wir hatten uns vor 1 Jahr ein Zimmer zeigen lassen, das mit den jetzigen nicht zu vergleichen ist. Die Möbel sind sehr abgewöhnt, das Zimmer extrem dunkel. Irgendwie macht die ganze Anlage keinen freundlichen Eindruck, mich hat alles sehr bedrückt. Einzig die Mitarbeiter sind sehr bemüht und unsere Damen, die das Zimmer gemacht haben muss man wirklich loben.

Not worth the money Property is in serious need of maintenance. Rooms are very outdated and furniture is old and extremely dirty. The couch is covered with an old blanket to “hide” the filthy old cushions and armrests are brown and greasy from the filth. Public areas is dilapidated and rundown with no attention to detail, weeds growing between paving, grass is overgrown etc etc. Television is extremely old. This place is clearly not living up to its potential and very poorly managed.

Une étape d’une seule nuit sur la route du Cap mais nous y reviendrons avec plaisir et plus longtemps !

Prachtig gelegen tegen de bergen Mooie moderne kamers ,zeer netjes , lekker ontbijt, een toppertje !!

Beautiful surrounds but rooms need maintenance, was also very dirty, aircon broken, fridge broken. No ice in fridge or at the establishment. Condiments were not replaced. All in all rooms very dirty and there was also cockroaches

We had a ball of a time! Lovely clean, well appointed and big room with beautiful views of the mountains. Breakfast was scrumptious and tasty. The hot breakfast was not oily at all. It is at the end of the town so everything you want to see in do is easily accessible.

Eine traumhafte Umgebung. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

I had a wonderful time staying at the lodge for business. Although so close to town. It felt like idyllic and remote looking out onto the beautiful Swellendam mountains. I particularly enjoyed the massive bath tub. Wifi signal was excellent for work. Staff were so friendly& helpful. The bed was big & comfy.
