YHA swanage was a lovely location with good parking and a period building lovely views from our room of Swanage bay and cliffs. Staff were helpful and friendly. Suprisingly the rooms were very warm even though the radiators were off. Facilities were more than adequate. It was a bargin staying only for one night in a private room with ensuite 2 adults and 2 children and breakfast for 4 people for under £90

YHA Swanage was the perfect base for our U13's Rugby Tour. We were a group of 59 and the various YHA teams we dealt with made the booking process so easy. When we arrived in Swanage the hostel was spotlessly clean and well appointed, At all times the staff were friendly and really helpful.

Terrific YHA - lovely old building with wood panelled lounge, great facilities and modern kitchen. Our room had an amazing sea view! Right in the centre of town with all its amenities and close to beautiful Dorset countryside. We had never visited the area before and had some great day out. We walked the Purbeck way to Corfe caste and caught the steam train. It's a short coastal walk to Old Harry Rocks and a little longer along the stunning sandy beaches to Sandbanks.

Such a great stay. In a lovely building and not far from the centre of Swanage. Woke up with great views of the sea and a lovely fried breakfast. Had something that catered for everyone with vegan sausages as well. Great friendly staff and overall a good experience. I loved the lounge with wood panelling as it was very relaxing for the evening with games you can help yourself to. Thanks for such a great stay Swanage YHA!

Room basic but exactly what we paid for. Breakfast highlight of the morning absolutely lovely. Staff great. First time staying in YHA as normally stay at hotels. It was really good base camp for spending day in swanage and surrounding areas.

I booked this hostel and released that the date was wrong. I called them and explained and was greeted by a rude man (I later found out he was the manager). He actively tried NOT to help me. He told me I couldn't get my money back as it was a non-refundable booking, he refused to change the date (this was tuesday morning for a friday booking in peak season - I expect they could have rented the room if that had tried but he was not prepared to even try). I called head office and they explained the policy - I think this is an antiquated policy. On top of that however, my biggest issue was with the rude and hostile comments and communication style by the manager, Andy. I recommend you don't stay here and that Andy gets a new role.
