The apartment was clean and neat, it’s in close proximity to the beach and about an 800m walk to the closest shop. Restaurants at the beach are about 1,5km away. The apartment is on the inner part of the building, so although there are windows, the bedroom faces a hallway where other guests are passing, this can impact privacy. Best to be aware of this upfront and the kitchen window is positioned outside the neighbors front door. Macline who helps at the apartment is friendly and helpful and really tried to accommodate all my questions and requests. Wifi was good and the space is modern.
Hotel conveniently located pretty much at the end of the B2 from Walvis Bay. 10 min walk to the pier. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Nice old building that used to be a train station. Rooms were fine but the soundproofing wasn't the best so quite noisy in the evenings and mornings. Great wifi and a load of sports channels on the TV. Ate at the Tug near the pier and Inspired Pizza just around the corner from the hotel on Hendrik Street - both worth a visit. Good value for what we paid overall. Drove from Sossusvlei - C27-C19-C14-B2. Google said 5 hours, took 30 mins more largely due to parts of the C19 and C14 being very corrugated. Driving c80kph on the corrugated parts helps with the quality of the ride but you then need to be careful as the car isn't as stable especially around slight bends!
I had a good stay at the Delight. The rooms are large, with a comfortable bed, a nice well appointed bathroom, with a terrace for sitting outside. There are creature comforts, like daily cookies , espresso machine and nice amenities in the room. I was pleasantly surprised by the hot water bottle placed in my bed for turndown, which gives you an indication on the level of service at this hotel - the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is simply exceptional- high quality cold meats and cheeses, oysters, a great egg station, high quality sausage/bacon, baked goods, excellent coffee. The location perhaps is not the best, a bit away from the rest of the town and the coast- but, Swakopmund is a small town and everything is 10 minutes away by foot. A really nice stay.
This location is ideal because you don't get harassed by hawkers trying to sell you something when you go for a walk. The rooms are big as well. My only problem was how long the food took. The staff were all lovely though, especially the supervisor on duty when I was there.
We had a wonderful time here! The apartment was beautiful with a stunning view of the beach. The restaurant, Salt, has some great food for both breakfast and dinner. Staff here were very kind and friendly to us. It is located right on the beach so you can go for a nice walk along the beach at any time. It’s between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay so has easy access to both towns for travellers. You’ll really enjoy your time here.

I prefer when people give practical reviews so I’d like to do that here.
The Hotel is in a great location, with a great exterior and friendly staff but that’s it.
It’s unfortunately not a place for friends or young couples.
We stayed in a comfort room and paid per person
The rooms have no wow effect. And felt more like a standard room.
Strong points: 1)sea view 2)bathtub
Weak points: 1)overpriced - price is per person not per room 2) no amenities- old tv, no spa or gym, no lounge 3) poor breakfast.
The staff was so friendly and helpful but there’s a difference between hospitality and friendliness. Hope they can improve on this.
I recommend for 1 person only and for one night only.
CCSummerTravelled with a friend and this hotel was booked as part of the 3* hotel package. It’s a great location but it is a 2 story motel with parking in front of the ground floor rooms. Rooms are basic, outdated. My room didn’t have hot water and it seems terrible to run the water for 15 min trying to get it warm (which didn’t happen) during a drought. The breakfast was good with a nice variety and eggs/bacon could be ordered. Staff were helpful.
