À notre arrivée nous avons eu l’agréable surprise d’être surclassé et nous avons donc eu une superbe suite Cet hôtel dispose des prestations de qualité Superbe literie salle de bain High-tech et des rideaux occultant un luxe pour la Norvège ! Le restaurant sous forme de buffet est dans la continuité des prestations Du choix de la qualité un service agréable Idem pour le petit déjeuner ´ Dommage que nous n’ayons pas eu le temps d’aller au spa Un 4 étoiles qui offre les prestations d’un 5 étoiles

Остановился тут после долго дня,отель выше всяких похвал! Номер уютный, ужин/завтрак, просто супер!вид с номера был просто шикарный, с погодой не повезло правда:( В этом регионе есть чем заняться, если бы погода хорошая можно 2-3 дня легко потерять))спа зона просто космос!!! Да просто советую сюда попасть! Дорого, но оно того стоит!

Très bel hôtel, belle chambre avec vue sur le fjord. Petit bémol en raison de l’éclairage de la salle de bain défectueux : le capteur de présence fonctionnait mal et la personne de la maintenance ne pouvait rien y faire. C’est dommage vu le standing de l’hôtel.

O hotel é muito bonito! Fica em uma localização beneficiada pela natureza! O atendimento muito simpático! A decoração bem clássica. O quarto é o banheiro não gostei. O que mais me chamou atenção foram as refeições, jantar e café da manhã....tudo perfeito!!!

Our family of four (two adults and two boys ages 15 and 19) stayed at Hotel Alexandra for one night on August 16th. We stayed in two connecting superior double rooms with a balcony and fjord view on the 5th floor. The room was clean but a little dated and did not have air conditioning. We asked the reception for a fan which was of little assistance, but due to colder weather in the night, the temperature in the room did not bother us too much. Service at the restaurants was ok. Each room is assigned a specific table to have breakfast and dinner each day. Breakfast and dinner buffet was included in the room rate with a wide variety of hot and cold items. Our family was very satisfied with all the food choices. Coffee and tea was available at breakfast and dinner with no extra charge. The menu had many hot and cold items for every palette. The main purpose for us staying at the hotel was to climb the Loen Via Ferrata. The hotel is located right across the street from Loen Active, very convenient for people who have an early morning start for the Ferrata. We had booked a guided Ferrata tour and the location of the hotel served as a great convenience. The boys enjoyed the pool. We arrived in the evening on the 16th and did not witness the chaos and noise around the pool area. Parking and wifi at the hotel is free. Unfortunately we came late and left early, so we didn't get a chance to use the spa. For us the location of the hotel due to the guided Ferrata tour was a big plus. My husband and son were able to have a big breakfast at the hotel right before walking to Loen Active to start the guided Ferrata tour. I do not think the hotel is worth the $$$ it charges its guests but for us it worked out well due to the proximity of the activities we wanted to do in the area. Giving it 5 stars for the location, 3 stars for sleep quality and 4 stars for the variety of items at breakfast and dinner. If you are planning to stay at this hotel, do not expect 5 star luxury service ----think location, convenience, proximity to Stryn, Lovatnet Lake, Loen Skylift and all the other amazing activities Loen has to offer.

We visited as a couple, for a romantic weekend. We didnt expect so many families, and small children/kids. Especially in the pool area there are a lot of families playing around, so not that quiet and romantic. We had a good private time in the outdoor pools though. Also around dinner time (buffet) there were many people and buzz. Felt like an cruise ship, actually! Buffet both morning and evening was included in our stay, and was allrights. Plenty options, but quality could be better, especially of the fish / salmon. Morning coffee was very bad, a big "automat", not grinded fresh. The cafe buffet in the evening was the best part, a lot of options! Rooms were very, VERY old. Needs refurbishing. Beds were way to soft. Paint on walls cracking and carpet all over is not really modern. We had a room with the oldest TV ive seen in a hotel for 10 years of traveling, the picture quality was so bad! There were NO COFFEE / TEA facilities in the room, but a mini bar. Wer had a room next to elevator, VERY noisy, avoid that at all cost! Overall, not that "romantic" luxurious getaway we wanted (Go to Hotel Union in Geiranger for that!!!), and quite expensive, but we did get two meals also, so the overall experience is 3/5. I think this hotel was great 15 years ago, probably quite modern back then.

Arrived and looked forward too 2 nights. Start with the Bath area, it was like a bathhouse with too much famillys and children, no silence anywhere, no big warmpool outside just a little jacuzzi, we left after 20 minuters. We could have payed 300/ person for the spa BUT the spa time finish 20.00 and no bath the day after…., very strange and expensive for so short time. Before coming too this hotel we had been at Hotel Union and Grand hotel in Geiranger and eat buffé dinner, excellent food, Compare too this 2 hotels the buffé at Alexandra is a joke. The seafood was some fresh shripms and shrimp, crayfishtails from can ?????? One part of the buffé area lokked like a School meal with food in canteens, my appatite dissepear directly. My husband want for fresh fish and the chief says it was finish. So we eat Quick very, very dissipointed about the dinner , we Walked straight too the frontdesk and cancel next night, the receptionist was very helpful and we avoid too pay penalty charge. The hotel is too expensive compare too other hotels when the dont deliver, i Will never recomend this hotel for couple how looping for, silence, good food and a good stay, for familys with children it must be perfekt.

We are a family with 6 year old kids. Live 1 hour 20 minutes away from Alexandra hotel. Decided to stay at the hotel to get the kids a break. So, the hotel is quite nice for what it is. Really polished and very 70’ gets a cute facelift look. Clean. Nice kids play area (made of fake dark grass looking material from sealing to floors) where we rolled and played. The dinner buffet was big, but the quality of food was not great, not good, very ok. The breakfast was ok as well. The dinning area is very 70’. The outside is outstanding, the view is magical, the patio is the best feature. The pool was just ok. The spa seemed good, but boy, any charge came with the TIP option and the question from the person handling the bill: “will you be adding anything?”… so, maybe best to let us customers tip when we feel the service is good? The rooms were very clean. The sofa bed was like sleeping on rocks that had been carefully placed to cause you the most excruciating pain and discomfort. In the morning after breakfast we went to the play area. Rolled around, sat. Once back room we were getting changed for the pool and my boy found a seed like thing on the bed. He took it and put it on the night stand. When I carefully saw it… I almost passed out. It was a tick. A thick, blood filled, nasty tick. I called reception and 3 minutes after a very sweet lady came with a plastic bag and took it. I wrote to rye sales manager asking her how was this being handled, because the hotel is a good option for a family like us, 1 hour away. She wasn’t surprised, nor mortified, nothing new seemed to have been happened. She told me it would BE SMART FOR US TO CHECK BECAUSE THE TICK MIGHT HAVE COME WITH US. No “we will look into it”, no “we appreciate the information you gave us”, no “we are terribly surprised about this horrible tick you found”, no “we will have personnel check the areas thoroughly”. Zero surprise, zero customer service. In Norway you get tiny ticks if you are on the grass or bushes. It is expected. This tick belonged to a huge animal. So, this was our last stay there. I am sure it was a tick that crawled from the play area after coming holding in to someone’s pants or socks. We wanted the hotel to say: “we will look into it and we assure you that this is a very isolated incident”. My kids had fun. They don’t know that we were suspicious of carrying a humongous blood filled tick. They are so well taken care of, that I feel insulted. Customer service is not good at all.

Drar friends - what a downside - we had booked a fantastic room on the top floor with a view - fjord and mountains. we pointed out that we had a small dog with us - which resulted being given a room in the backyard and in addition being asked to pay extra in exchange for a luxury room. we were very disappointed naturally enough - and with a service that was not good customer service. We got the room full of dust and were brought a bottle of apple juice with a welcome to Alexandra Hotel brought from the room we were originally supposed to have. This was a double downturn. We are now sitting here in the room with furniture from an era where we were not even born - we think. It is part of the story that for the occasion we had booked 50 rooms as part of a large event. It made no difference to Alexandra Hotell - so dear Alexandra Hotell - shame on you. There will be no more events with booking from us :(
