Perfectly nice - not quite by the fjord - but good pools indoor and outdoor. Oddly completely empty when we used them. Generally a slightly peculiar vibe but hard to put finger on. Good indoor facilites - gym, pool, shuffle board , etc - slightly annoyingly high price though. Also electric car charging 400 NOK - the most expensive anywhere we stayed. Breakfast copious and decent but probably the least good of the ‘fancy’ places we stayed.

I stayed at Alexandra Hotel in Loen for two nights and truly enjoyed my experience. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the hotel offers a wide variety of facilities and services. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious with many options to choose from. I also enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. Unfortunately, my stay was short, but I definitely wish to return and spend more time here. So far, Loen is the most beautiful place I have visited in Norway, and Alexandra Hotel is the best hotel I’ve stayed in during my trip.

Lovely hotel with plenty of facilities. Modern, spacious rooms with a small, but practical bathroom. We had a lovely view of the fjord. No airco with temperatures of 30 degrees but that is to be expected in Norway 😆. We absolutely loved the pool with this hot weather! Breakfast buffet is fantastic. In the evening we had the bbq, delicious, and the buffet. Again excellent. Common areas do look a bit outdated, retro, but the rooms do not have the same vibe. I would recommend this hotel when in the neigbourhood!

Nice hotel in great location. Quite modern with good beds, very clean . Only big problem is in heat wave there is no aircon. Parking is great, it is walking distance from sky lift and nice walks around the hotel and at the water. Very nice spa and indoor and outdoor swimming pool . Staff is polite and helpful. Dinner and breakfast are great buffet.

We loved our spacious, clean and clear room with nice view over the fjord. Staying two nights, we selected the “Deluxe 7 Plus Fjord” room. The bathroom is also spacious and very clean. The radiator in the bath room is very convenient to dry your towels. There is a fridge, coffee machine and complimentary coffee pads but surprisingly no tea bags. On purpose or just an omission by the service in charge ? The TV looks somehow outdated as without Bluetooth connection. The swimming pools are superb, a real plus point. The steps to the outside pool are well marked, except for the last one. So be careful, do nto miss that one ! We loved the buffet dinner proposing a large choice of excellent products, inclusive grilled meat or fish prepared upon request. Surprisingly, only tea bags are at disposal, no tisane, normally available in all hotels. We very much appreciated the formula allowing the guest to prepare its own lunch packet for 100 NOK. Wrapping paper and bag are offered and one feels much better than smuggling a greasy sandwich in the pocket 😉. Alexandra is an absolute must when passing in the area.

Wonderful place. Does NOT feel like a hotel. Great ambiance, excellent location, excellent views and if possible even better service. Our package included breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was very nice. The dinner was outstanding. The only place that we’ve seen where caviar was served. The caviar was not tucked away inconspicuously tucked away. It had its place in open and was available in quantity.
