The main property is Tembo House Hotel, and this is one of the nearby accommodations operated by Tembo House Hotel. The two properties are only about 100 meters apart, but there is a noticeable difference in location and price.
The room was a decent size, and having a balcony was a definite advantage. The room was also equipped with everything I needed, including a kettle and refrigerator. Another advantage was that it was quiet.
The main drawback is that the property is tucked away inside a narrow alley, and getting up the stairs can be tiring, especially with luggage.
Breakfast is served at the main Tembo House Hotel, but this was not a major inconvenience.
If you are looking for a place that is cheaper and quieter than the main hotel, I think this is a good option.
The biggest drawback was the limited Wi-Fi usage. The Wi-Fi is provided for a limited amount of time, and once you use it all up, you have to go back to the main hotel to get another Wi-Fi ticket. Having to do this was quite inconvenient, and I honestly don't understand why the Wi-Fi has to work this way.
I didn't have many opportunities to interact with the staff, so I don't think it would be fair to evaluate the service.
The next hotel I stayed at was right on the beach, and I personally thought it was better than this one.
Additional Note
Regarding the location, it is naturally not as good as the main Tembo House Hotel. However, considering its location within Zanzibar as a whole, I would still say that it is a good location.
