Le Neela Hôtel était le première hôtel de notre voyage de noce, notre première impression de Zanzibar. Celle ci n'aurait pu être meilleur. Après une journée de voyage, être accueilli avec un grand sourire, une serviette froide et un cocktail rafraîchissant n'a pas de prix. L'accueil y est excellent et chaleureux, le nombre de chambres réduit nous donne vraiment l'impression d'être dans une chambre d'hôte et d'être accueilli par une famille. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait, dans le centre ville et à deux pas de la plage. La nourriture y est excellente et très bien préparée. Je trouverai en seul point non pas négatif, mais à retravailler le petit déjeuner qui ne donne pas l'impression de liberté que l'on souhaiterait avoir et pas forcément approprié a ce que l'on aimerait manger le matin. Mais même sur ce point la qualité n'est pas à déplorer. Le personnel y est attachant et d'une grande gentillesse. Une attention particulière nous a été réservé lorsqu'ils ont appris que nous étions en voyage de noce.

Excellent accueil, les bagages sont montés par les bagagistes au 2ème étage, (ouf !!). Chambre très très propre, linge de lit super, serviettes de toilette nombreuses, moelleuses et impeccables. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. L'hôtel est très calme. Le lit est très confortable, la climatisation fonctionne très bien. La localisation est parfaite dans Stone, tout est à portée. Le personnel est adorable et attentionné. Seul le prix reste un peu excessif en Afrique...

We had the most lovely dinner on the rooftop at the Neela Hotel in Stonetown. A beautiful and chic boutique hotel with an equally lovely rooftop replete with great views. Elizabeth, our server, was gracious, kind, and hospitable. The service and the food were the best we'd had in Stonetown. I highly recommend!

Truly one of the most memorable hotel stays I have experienced. The professional and kind staff made me feel like part of the family. They always had a smile and always were able to help when needed. The hotel is curated with lovely art and plants. Our room was so tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the linens just lovely. It was nice to come in from a day of exploring to this cool oasis. The Breadfruit restaurant did not disappoint. Breakfast lunch and dinner were all wonderful. Clearly the chef uses the freshest ingredients and thoughtfully prepares the dishes. The ceviche was some of the best I have had. I wish there was an option to give this hotel many, many more stars. A million thanks to the wonderful staff! You are simply the best!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Neela Collection in Stone Town, Zanzibar for three nights at the end of September on a recommendation and it really didnt disappoint. The interiors are absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous original artworks and local crafts adorning this boutique hotels. The service standards were exceptional - nothing was too much trouble, with the chef catering to our fussy children and then baking not one, but two birthday cakes for the birthdays we were celebrating! I am sure the whole team coming out to sing Happy Birthday to my son has made it a 7th birthday never to be forgotten. The food and the cocktails at this hotel are by far we tasted on the island! The menu is different and well thought out. Highlights - the breakfasts, the service and the bedsheets! We will definitely come back.

We were at the restaurant and had a great evening. The food was very delicous and totally worth the money. If you want to have a special night and don't mind to spent a little more money than in other restaurants I would recommend this place! High class cuisine! Elizabeth served us that night and was a lovely and charming waitress.

While traveling on my first trip to Zanzibar, my girlfriend and I arrived at The Neela Hotel Stone Town (Turns out it was their opening weekend!!). As we walked through the old historic narrow paver and stone pathways, I came upon a gorgeous white-concrete boutique hotel with wooden accents and tall elephant ear plants (not even joking…CHECK OUT THE PICS!). The hotel guard opened the massive wooden doors to a stunning blue tiled courtyard with tall open arches built in every direction. I was greeted with my room key at the front reception and given a tour of the facilities… The Chef even came out at one point and greeted us as we walked through their restaurant (big deal for me because I’m a foodie…). When we walked into our room the first things that caught my eye were the wooden rafters that combed the ceiling, the extra-large standalone bathtub and the Artwork… As I am a tall man myself, I was also pleased to find the rain style shower heads were well over my head. Throughout our 4 day stay the staff was so accommodating… You notice the 5 star service while you stay at Neela. The food and drinks were incredible… I had a few meals outside of the hotel, but all the food was so good coming from the Neela kitchen that I always found myself in one of their restaurants… It is a true high end craft kitchen. Their chefs work with local bakers and farmers to get all of their ingredients and let me tell you, they put out some incredible plates. They have a band at the rooftop bar "Views" on the weekends.. What a vibe, they set the mood perfectly. The staff even set up a private boat tour (dhow) that took us out snorkeling, made us lobster lunch on an island, and swimming in a private lagoon. We even saw humpback whales! A mother and her Calf were swimming through the channel. Experience of a lifetime. I can’t recommend this place enough… I will be back.

After being in Zanzibar for a few weeks we found it challenging to find fresh and tasteful local food… especially in Stone Town. We came across The Breadfruit restaurant at the Neela Boutique Hotel recently and all I can say is, wow!! It exceeded all expectations. From the presentation of the food to the exceptional staff, we finally found the dining experience we’ve been looking for. Expect elevated local flavors, fresh and high quality ingredients, good wine, and a great vibe.
