索戈宮殿民宿(Bed&Breakfast Sorgo Palace)

The host got a nice restaurant next to the apartment. Great hospitality

Un peu à l'écart dans cette petite ville. Bon confort de la chambre et du lit. Bien équipée. Avons dîné. Cuisine tenue par la patronne et servie par le patron. Ambiance familiale et détendue. Avons pris des calamars grillés et un poisson grillé. Très bien cuisinés. Des pizzas sont aussi à la carte. Simple mais bon petit déjeuner. En mai, des fraises, des fraises,... Production locale. Éviter le brandy local qui n'a que le nom.

Wir besuchten Ston und den Peljesac und nahmen im Apartment- Hotel Sorgo Palace Quartier. Circa eine halbe Stunde vor Ankunft riefen wir im Sorgo Palace an und wurden telefonisch auf den naheliegenden öffentlichen Parkplatz gelotst. Hier fotografierten wir unser Kennzeichen und Whatsappten es zum Unterkunftgeber. Dieser meldete es entsprechend weiter sodas wir hier für das Parken nichts bezahlen mussten. Das " Sorgo Palace" war in Fußgängerzone nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Parkplatz entfernt. Hier angekommen wurden wir auf das freundlichste begrüßt. Und persönlich ins Zimmer geleitet. Das Zimmer im zweiten Stock des entzückenden Altstadthauses war sehr schön und praktisch eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Es war mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, wie Fernseher, Kühlschrank, einem tollen Bad und einer sehr leisen Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Das Frühstück nahmen wir direkt im hauseigenen Restaurant beziehungsweise im "Gastgarten" ein. Auch hier wurde auf unsere Wünsche wunderbar eingegangen. Alle waren wirklich äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir besuchten Weinbauern am Peljesac und Mali Ston mit seinen Austernzüchtern. Die berühmte Stadtmauer von Ston bewunderten wir von der Stadt aus. Sie war gut besucht. Wir haben eine Besteigung auf ein anderes Mal verschoben. Auch das Abendessen nahmen wir in Restaurant Sorgo Palace ein und hatten einmal das Glück, das zeitgleich eine Geburtstagsfeier mit Musiker stattfand und wir, zum bemerkenswert guten Essen auch noch gut unterhalten wurden! Das Zimmer war sehr preiswert, Frühstück und Parkplatz wurden nicht berechnet. Und wenn man im Haus wohnt bekommt man auf die Restaurant Rechnung noch einen Bonus - so war es bei uns jedenfalls. Die Speisen und Getränke haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Service war in der Früh und am Abend top und die Preise für das Kredenzte mehr als fair. Mit dem uns immer umsorgenden Hausherren haben wir schlussendlich einen neuen Freund zurück gelassen. Ston ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert und passt das " Sorgo Palace" optimal! Wir kommen sicher wieder!

We booked Sorgo Palace very last minute (literally 30 minutes before we arrived!) due to a very unfortunate issue with a booking we had in nearby Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I can't say enough about how welcoming our hosts were. The room was immaculate and nicely appointed. It was a very quiet and comfortable sleep with a wonderful homemade breakfast served on the patio. We had spent the afternoon in Ston and had we known how wonderful this little town was, we would have booked the Sorgo Palace months ago when we planned our Croatia trip. We highly recommend staying at Sorgo Palace as well as adding Ston to your list of places to visit.

Lumbarda to Orebić by car ferry, then a car ride to bypass the dangerous ascent from the port. Headed off through a mountain tunnel, wildly steep descent and along spectacular seaside roads through picturesque towns and beaches. Missed the lunch stop but all ended well in Mali Ston where we had seafood sensations of oysters, sea eggs (a local specialty), grilled prawns and squid. Rode back to Sorgo Palace, our rooms for the night. Amazing history, challenging ride and fully immersed in the culture of this Salt capital of ancient times.

Sorgo palace was a delightful stay and a great room comfortable bed and lovely host as well! Breakfast was plentiful and the coffee was great too! Charming old villa with a lot of history! Would definitely stay here again close to everything. Parking was free across the road just need to message the host the licence plate

Friendly staff/owners comfortable quarters clean center of town only downside is the stairs. But hey, the buildings 500 years old guess that’s to be expected.

Parking was supposed to be free. Owner said our car was registered to park anywhere in the city. We had a a parking ticket on our windshield in the morning! I sent an email immediately and never got a response.
