Frühstücksbufett absolut super, schönes Zimmer, komfortables Bett, freundliches Personal Beste Lage am Stadtplatz, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt.

I expected a four-star hotel to have someone at the front desk for more than a few minutes a day. Honestly, there wasn't much interaction with the staff and it was hard to get help if you needed it. To check in, you have to use a speaker outside the building that barely works. I would definitely consider another location for next time, where contact with staff is not expected, such as the apartments. I wonder how they got four stars, as the standards are more in line with a 3-star hotel.

Die Lage ist nicht zu toppen, man ist direkt im Geschehen. Einen Parkplatz gibt es in der Garage gleich in der Nähe über den Ennssteg, ca. 5 Min. vom Hotel Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit reichlich Auswahl, allerdings muß man aus dem Hotel rausgehen und in ein Nebengebäude wieder hineingehen, was etwas umständlich, aber aushaltbar ist. Wir hatten leider ein Zimmer bei dem es nicht möglich war die Fenster zu öffnen, weil die Griffe abmontiert waren. Nachdem das Gebäude aber Altbau ist, gibt es keine extra Zimmerlüftung die man hätte benutzen können. Die Betten waren kein Highlight und das gesamte Interieur schon etwas abgewohnt. Das Badezimmer allerdings dürfte zwischenzeitlich renoviert worden sein und sah recht modern aus.

Zimmer und Frühstück sind im Stadthotel in Ordnung und wir waren damit recht zufrieden. Aber es gab zumindest für uns auch eine eher negative Erfahrung. Bei unserem ersten Besuch im Hotel hatten wir ein Zimmer nach hinten hinaus, das war ruhig. Beim zweiten Besuch letzten Herbst mit einem Zimmer im vorderen Bereich war es aber ziemlich laut. Der Lärm aus einer im Erdgeschoss befindlichen Bar ging uns auf die Nerven. Musik, Lärm, und abends anscheinend betrunkene Gäste im ehemaligen Innenhof, in dem auch geraucht wurde. Angeblich ist dort um 22 Uhr Sperrstunde, aber es war sicher später, als wir schon zu Bett waren. Wenn jemand selbst gerne in Bars geht, wird ihn das aber nicht stören.

For what we paid I expected more. We got two beds, a television a mini bar and a bathroom. Absolutely no extras, not so much as a bottle of water. Some hotels don’t do ‘in room’ refreshments, especially at the cheaper end but then they do give you access to a coffee station or somewhere to get water. This hotel doesn’t but it’s not cheap either. No ‘extras’ were afforded, nothing that cost the hotel a penny. I think this is because the owners were new to the business and watching their costs, but it felt mean. On the other hand it was clean and the beds comfortable and although our very Spartan room was at the back we found out this was a good thing as the church tower is right beside the hotel and clangs at 6am! It is right in the heart of the town and, although there is a vague promise of ‘on site’ parking this is not the case. You park in an underground public car park over the river. It’s not a problem, just a short stroll, but you need to drop your bags off first. The breakfast buffet is excellent, the interior design of the breakfast room superb and there is a lovely feel to it that might I suspect have reached one or two bedrooms, it didn’t reach ours! We were glad this was a one night stop over. All the action is next door at a fabulous hotel with superb food and a great ‘local’ Austrian feel to it. It’s nice to spend the evening in there and come back to the peace and calm of the Stadhotel. Yes, I’d stay again, I had a great night’s sleep, until 6am, but I’d pack a trial kettle!

Das Hotel liegt direkt im Zentrum, das Frühstücksbüffet ist top. Viele Dinge wie zB die Aufstriche, sind mit selbstgemacht. Alles mit Liebe präsentiert. Das Brot und die Handsemmerl sind ein Traum, es fehlt wirklich an gar nichts! Leider ist der Frühstücksraum zu klein, Gäste mussten warten bis ein Tisch frei wurde. Dies war aber wirklich das einzige Manko. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
