Para ser sincero, eu me senti numa propaganda enganosa! Eles só avisam que são negócios separados depois que você faz a reserva, mas na descrição do booking não tem nada disso. Quando você fica numa vinicola, você espera ter uma experiência de vinicola e não foi esse o caso! A experiência é ruim desde a recepção (que não existe). O nosso quarto era com uma vista para o estacionamento, e a piscina fica dentro da casa de uma familia, ou seja, é uma experiência como você tivesse invadindo uma casa de alguém! Além disso, o restaurante não funciona a noite, ou seja, se você quiser comer alguma coisa, você terá problemas, pois não tem uma opção de cardapio, snacks, nada disso e não há reposição da geladeira do quarto. Outro ponto negativo é a falta de uma introdução desde sua chegada! Quando você chega na hospedagem, o mínimo que você espera é uma explicação sobre o local, sobre a vinicola, preços, e quais vinhos são produzidos no local. E a resposta que você tem da recepcionista é "Veja isso com o restaurante, pois são negócios diferentes"....E isso em nenhum momento é falado no booking! Eu sai do local sem saber preços de vinhos, recomendações, nada disso. Eu não recomendo e não voltaria nesse local! Apesar da Debie (host) tentar ajudar de alguma forma, eu não tive uma boa experiência! Pagamos um preço elevado para ter uma experiência ruim! A única coisa boa é a vista do restaurante e algumas pessoas do Staff que tentaram ajudar com a experiência.

Wir hatten einen sehr herzlichen Empfang und wurden auf unser Zimmer gebracht, welches ein paar Minuten vom Haupthaus entfernt lag. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hatte ein großes Bad. Allerdings würde ich sagen, dass es schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen ist und den Teppich könnte man durch einen anderen Bodenbelag ersetzen. Direkt vor dem Zimmer gelegen ist ein kleiner Pool und am Haupthaus ein größerer. Morgens macht man einen kleinen Spaziergang durch die Weinreben, um zum Frühstück zu gelangen. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber wir haben in Südafrika tatsächlich schon schöner gesessen und gegessen. Mittags hatten wir das Weintasting Menü, welches sehr gut war und da hatte man auch die Glasfront im Restaurant geöffnet, so dass man viel schöner als beim Frühstück saß. Am Abend sind wir mit Uber nach Stellenbosch gefahren, was einwandfrei funktioniert hat.

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely newish rooms set amongst the vines – the rooms was tastefully decorated, plenty of space and a good modern bathroom. The bed was firm, the bedding luxurious – a great place to stay. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an additional day – and were so grateful to Michelle for responding to our plea in the middle of the weekend. It was a great stay.

So relaxing and welcoming as always. One of our favorite places to get away from town for a couple days. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have (almost) all the amenities one can want. The lower suite of apartments by the field is where we like to stay. We will definitely be back soon, but will avoid the restaurant which seems to have dropped standards significantly. A small microwave in the room would be a nice improvement.

Have just returned from a two night break at Clos Malverne. The room we stayed in was absolutely spotless,was beautifully furnished , very spacious and had lovely views over the vineyard. The room had a king sized bed, excellent air conditioning and had a very large en suite bathroom with a great walk in shower. We booked the Lifestyle package which included two nights bed and breakfast, lunch with wine pairing , a couples spa visit and three bottles of wine. Michelle, who organised the reservation for us , was extremely helpful and did everything possible to enhance the experience for us. The food in the restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice and lovely wine choices and the staff were truly welcoming and professional. We intend to make a return visit next month.

The wife and I booked a luxury suite this past weekend and were greeted with a stunning view. The wines are lovely and the food service is top notch. Be aware though, Stellenbosch can get very warm during summer and as such, air conditioning is a requirement. In the luxury suite we were in, the air con is very badly placed - when you walk in, you get a column of nice and cool air but the centre of the room is very warm still thus night time is very uncomfortable. Also, if you do happen to do a lunch during summer, we found out that the restaurant does not have air con (they do however have a water cooling system). During our 4 course meal, it's not ideal to be eating delicious food paired with magical wine while having sweat run down your back. When the outside temperature is 39C, air con indoors is very much welcomed.
