Between November-March, the water level is controlled by the Lake Martin Dam and the levels decrease. The property will not accommodate a boat to be docked during this time. There is no water located at the dock during winter pool, but the creek can still be accessed for fishing and kayaking.The water is shallow in this part of the creek (only 4 feet @ dock during full pool). No diving is allowed from the dock. If bringing in a boat to the dock, please make sure you stay to the far left of the creek coming in and stay to the far right of the creek going out as that is the deepest part. Our little lake place is a condo so it has that condo feel. There are 3 bedrooms (2 Queen beds and a bunk room with a full bed on bottom and a twin on top. There are 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with everything you would need to cook with. There is a bar to sit and eat or you may want to enjoy the outside patio with table and chairs that have a view. The condo offers high speed internet and a workspace with a usbc docking station with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse. The complex has two nice pools. (one is more of a lap pool and the other more of a lounging playing pool. There are restrooms located near the pool. There is a grilling section by the pools, if you would like to show off your grilling skills. Also, for the kiddos there is a playground area. We have a boat slip on the property if you would like to bring a boat or rent one from someone local. The slip is labeled with my condo number Q3. There is a game room located on the third floor of the entrance. There are 2 elevators on the premises. One elevator is near the entrance and the other is closer to our unit. When you arrive and would like to unload you may pull your vehicle close to the condo and unload. You must park up close to the garages. The lower parking lot is for the owners. My condo is in the section facing Lake Martin and the 280 bridge. One awesome thing about renting here is that you are only 2 minutes from highway 280. Large screen porch across the back of the house for enjoying the view with lounge area and dining table. Nice gentle sloping lot to the water that is great for the young and old. At the end of a slough with view down to big water makes for a nice swimming area and easy docking without boat traffic and wake. Steps into the water for easy swimming access and also a nice shallow beach area for the kids to play in the sand and water. Fire pit area and loungers at the dock. Plenty of room for parking. Bring your own boat and put in at boat ramp 5 minutes away and park your trailer at the house and boat at the dock. We also provide four adult kayaks and two kid kayaks and there are universal adult life vests but please bring correct size life vests for any kids.There are two parking spots at the dock for your boat or a rental boat. Pontoon rentals at Harbor Pointe marina. 15 minutes by car and about 25 minutes by boat from the house.Nearby Boat Ramps: Dare Park and Smith Mountain LandingOnly 2 minutes to the historic Smith Mountain Fire Tower and hiking trails. You can go up the restored tower for a beautiful view of the lake from the top.Alabama Power Company that operates the lake lowers the water level by about 6ft each winter between Mid Oct - Mid March. During this time the water at the dock is too shallow to get a boat to the dock. The kayaks can still be used and the view enjoyed in the off season along with the local hiking trails.*The pontoon boat is not for guest use. Slice of Lake Life - My happy place! Relax on the huge screened porch steps away from Lake Martin. Quiet Sandy Creek area has the perfect balance of activity vs privacy. Ski/tube or fish right outside. The yard is flat and grassy, perfect for kicking the ball or laying out. Sit and talk around the fire pit in the evenings. Inside, entertain yourselves with various board games, books and puzzles.House has a private boat ramp and dock. Please be aware that the lake water level is controlled by Alabama Power and in the winter depending on what they do as well as the amount of rain received you may need to use the public launch. The water level is typically lowered gradually starting in September and is raised gradually starting in March. Please check LakeMartin.com/Level.asp to see the estimated level for your visit. We recommend the level to be 488 MSL to comfortably use the launch. At this level the floating dock will be approximately 4.5 feet deep at the front of the slip and 5.5 feet deep at the back. At 487 MSL you can still use the floating dock, but will likely need to use the public launch at the end of Youngs Ferry Rd.There is plenty of parking with a long driveway, parking area, as well as the boat launch.For outdoor fun we have various floats for swimming, a four person pedal boat, and kayaks for the adventurous. In the shed there are outdoor games. If you bring a pet, there is a solid tie down set up if needed. Four bedroom, two and a half bath home with a sleeper sofa in den easily sleeps 10. Great room with living and dining areas has a window wall overlooking the lake. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Eat inside or outside under ceiling fans on the screened in porch. All rooms have ceiling fans. In the king room closet is a pack-n-play (no crib bedding is provided) and high chair.There are Smart TVs in the Living Room, both bedrooms with king beds, and the bedroom with the queen/trundle. Our family lake house is on a quiet, beautiful part of the lake in the back of a cove in a calm residential neighborhood. Built by our parents, it has been the source of precious memories for over 50 years. We have a large dock with both a covered and an uncovered area along with a floating dock for extra space, just bring your boat or jet skis. On the dock, you will enjoy the cushioned chairs, porch swing, ceiling fans and table that seats 6 on the covered side. The backyard is large and flat with gorgeous mature azaleas. In addition, you will find a concrete basketball court, fire pit, screened in porch, and private boat ramp. We have a float mat, water noodles, and a canoe for you to enjoy. Inside, is a split level with 1 bedroom (double) and full bath on the main level, 2 sets of twin bunk beds with a full bath on the lower level. The master bedroom (king) suite with 2 recliners and a tv in the sitting area is upstairs. The master bathroom is shared with the 2nd upstairs bedroom (queen). Downstairs there’s fun to be had on a rainy day in the large playroom with a full-size pool table/ping pong table and a foosball table, a closet full of games, and fun outdoor games for the whole family to enjoy. The eat-in kitchen seats 6 plus there is a game table on the den that seats 4. There is a ceiling fan in every room in the house. Looking to entertain on the porch?
