Our area has lots of restaurants, Coffee shops, Antique Malls, Walnut Creek Flea Market , and lots of Stores to explore! We have self check in with a smart lock. In other words, you're not going to need to worry about heavy traffic noise or interruptions. Unless of course the sound of the occasional horse and buggy clipping along sounds like heavy traffic noise to you. Amazing view over wooded hills and farmland. Absolutely breathtaking.Getting aroundI'm afraid there's no option for public transportation around here. Uber would probably inform you that you must have fallen off the map. Located in the quaint village of Winesburg, in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country, the historic Stone Cottage Inn provides all the amenities of home in a rustic ambiance hard to find anywhere else. Take a stroll on the brick sidewalks, and put your feet up by the fire while you listen to the sound of horses passing by.Two bedrooms, one sleeping loft, living room, dining room, fully furnished kitchen, laundry room, enclosed patio, and a finished walk-out basement are just some of the things you will enjoy while staying at the cottage. A desk with a laser printer is in the lower level for our guests to use.The cottage easily accommodates up to 12 people with two queen beds in each of the bedrooms, and one full bed and two twin beds in the sleeping loft. There are also queen-sized pull-out sofa beds in the living room and basement to accommodate four additional guests. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking for 12+ people, and includes a Kitchenaid stand mixer with a paddle, wire whisk, and bread hook attachments. Surrounded by farms and rolling hills, long walks are a wonderful experience. Although our little town does not even boast a traffic light, you will be just steps away from the Winesburg Park which has a large playground and picnic pavilion. A few steps in the other direction is our historic general store. Not only will you find a deli serving Amish meats and cheeses, our general store also has a carry out which serves a varied menu that includes the area's most popular pizza, roasted chicken, and a full service ice cream shop. Amish restaurants and shops are just a short drive in any direction. Please be advised that even though it is quite a spacious house, it is not suitable for small children or the elderly. It is not handicap accessible. On the main (ground) floor the downstairs bedroom is one step down from the rest of the floor (not quite evident in pictures) and the shower room is also one step bellow the main level.
