The Host, namely Paul, is a very hostile and rude individual. We were so terrified to stay at his venue that Booking refunded our money after the host failed to repeatedly respond to Booking. Having had a similar experience in the past with venues out of the airport boundaries, I recommend you stay at the airport hotels and avoid any unpleasantness. It might be a little more expensive but well worth it to be in a safe and welcoming venue.

Paul was a wonderful host and communicated with us throughout our booking, and was very helpful. I stayed with my daughter and 3 children, but regret the family room really didn't suit having older kids. However, everything was great, easy access to LHR for flights.

We booked to stay at the Lodge Stanwell Heathrow. We were greeted by Paul with a very warm welcome and shown to our room. We had a room on the ground floor which was very clean and beautiful decorated with ensuite shower room with toiletries and crisp fresh towels. There was a cupboard with tea, coffee, hot chocolate including a coffee machine and biscuits fresh filtered water, glasses and napkins. We asked Paul for some plates and cutlery to eat our takeaway which were delivered promptly to our room. We ordered breakfast which arrived on time on two trays with orange juice, yogurt, full English and Eggs benedick nicely cooked too! the Hollandaise sauce was delicious! Both dishes beautiful presented under a sliver cloche which tasted delicious. There were a covered butter dish, marmalade hot toast fresh coffee and tea all delivered to our room. Our room overlooked the garden which is beautiful with striped lawn. The lodge is side on with the road with a large hedge making it very private. The bed was very comfortable with the linen smelling fresh just like when you take it off the washing line. Thank you, Paul we will be back. The lodge is much nicer than the other hotels down the bath road more personalised with Paul answering any questions we had. We also had the plesure of meeting Alfie the parrot and Monty the maine coon cat who is very very big and friendly boy! They are not in the main hotel they live with Paul on site.

Our stay was easy and pleasant. Room was clean and quiet. Bus access to and from Heathrow was very convenient. Paul was welcoming and helpful with getting us settled in even though we arrived late at night. Would recommend!

It was relatively easy to find. The host was very amicable. The room was sufficient enough for my two sons and myself for the night. It was very clean and modern in appearance. The Garden was quite beautiful.

My fiancé and I had a brief but wonderful stay at The Lodge Stanwell! We had a 16 hour layover in London following our Europe trip and didn't want to sleep in the airport, so we looked for a local bed and breakfast that was both near the airport and near a local Tesco so we could stock up on British snacks to take home to the US. I fondly remember staying at a local bed and breakfast outside of Manchester every time my family came to visit my dad's side in Liverpool while growing up, so I was thrilled when I found this gem through a quick Google search. Not only did I end up booking for nostalgia's sake, but the room price was extremely reasonable compared to what other places would charge for such a prime location. Paul was very easy to contact and was quick to respond to any and all communication. He greeted us upon our arrival, showed us around, and gave us a variety of dinner recommendations that were just down the road (less than a 10 minute walk); we chose the chippy and it was just as good as we hoped it would be! After that, we carried on down the road to the Tesco Extra to grab some Jaffa Cakes and other classic British snacks. There was tea available back at the room to enjoy, with a kettle provided to boil the water, and there is WiFi as well. What made this trip so easy was that Paul has all of the local transportation listed. The bus routes were linked, and getting to and from the airport only cost a few pounds each. You can get picked up from the 7 or 8 stop right outside Terminal 5 at Heathrow and dropped off almost right outside the front door of the lodge. If the bus times don't work for you or you have more luggage, there are options to add things like car service (and breakfast) when booking the room. Overall, we had an extremely pleasant stay and will definitely return should we ever need to spend a night outside of Heathrow again!
