Was fantastic staff were really nice and helpful and the whole were clean, parking was good with good lighting and cctv cameras, will definitely be going back on a regular basis and breakfast was amazing, thanks to michael and lyndsay

We arrived a little earlier than the check in but were allowed to check in and were shown to our room. All of the staff we encountered were lovely, as were the patrons of the pub downstairs. The room was nice, clean with all the amenities you could need (including additional heater to the radiators during Storm Amy). There is also an area in the hall between the rooms where extra supplies are at easy each should you need them. This included local guides, more toilet roll, extra heaters and extra tea and coffees. The bed was comfy and the Roku stick in the TV was a nice touch so we could watch Disney+ (using your own membership, FYI) before bed. The shower stall is small so if you’re a bigger individual, it may be a little awkward navigating round but the heat and the pressure of the shower was great. No room photos as the ones already posted do them justice but took photos of the breakfast room and breakfast. Would 1000% stay again

The hosts were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. It was great chatting with Lindsay and Michael did a great job with our breakfasts. They went above expectations with the vegan breakfast. Thank you so much. So close to Beamish Museum, very convenient.

The bed is nice and comfy didn't want to get out of the bed the rooms were imaculate , breakfast was lovely , staff where amazing , very helpfull constantly asking if we needed a thing, pub is lovely great prices , has a beer garden aswell would highly recommend, defiantly stay again

Great stay at the Ball Alley. Staff was very attentive. Rooms were great and beds comfy. The full English Breakfast is excellent! The pub welcomes artists on Saturday nights. The choice of music is good. And we didn't hear much when we came back to the room. Big plus: there is a kitchen with microwave and fridge next to the rooms. So no need to find a restaurant if you are on a budget!

Excellent B &B . Lovely rooms with free toiletries and plenty tea and coffee. Very clean throughout. Bar drinks were very reasonable and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lynn the bar maid was very lovely and chatty. Made our evening. Breakfast is so good too. Will return. Thanks all at Ball Alley
