This hotel is in an ideal spot. It is quiet, but within a couple of minutes you can be in the thick of the nightlife, lots of eating opportunities or you can walk up to Sliema for even more of the same along the promenade. The staff are brilliant. Gretchel messaged us when we were at the airport to ask a rough time of arrival so she could have our room ready. You will not get that from a chain of hotels! As this was one of the first times we got away after the dreaded (C-19) we pushed the boat out and had the best room in the hotel (Room 10). Malta - for new travellers - has a rather good taxi system. It is regulated. You tell the office where you are going and pre-pay the fixed price, and they give you a ticket and a driver. no getting 'ripped off' as the prices are all controlled. You can tip the driver if you choose to. (We did, nice chap). Normally taxis are through the BOLT app. Like Uber for Malta. Just as good, but the app payment we founf a bit glitchy sometimes. Due to an aversion for packed boats, we took a trip to Gozo and the Blue Lagoon by hiring a boat (awesome, and see my next review on that). The hotel could not do enough for us. Breakfast was great. I'd give a 100% recommendation for this hotel unless you want a massive Hilton/Sheraton/IHG experience and a 'no caring attitude', in which case pick a big chain hotel.
