I'm a little disappointed about our stay. Nothing terribly went wrong, but there was a collection of small issues. First, the front desk staff were not very nice or friendly. Ever. Cold and stand-offish service right from check-in.
We requested new towels, since there is no turndown service, and they left 1 towel and 1 face cloth, not really thinking that there were 3 people staying in our room. During this visit, they also left all of the dirty towels (I guess b/c there is no turndown service?).
The room smelt like wet carpet, so we would open windows whenever we could. But it's pretty cold in St. John's in June and couldn't leave it open overnight.
Our in-room directory didn't have a menu for the lobby restaurant, and the printed hours of service are different than when the restaurant actually operates.
Honestly, it was just a weird service experience. I guess everything was "fine", but some small changes could have made our stay great. We'll try another hotel next time in St. John's.
