amazing staff beautiful hotel

This property has a nice restaurant, but I would not sty here again! Rooms are cold and dark. It is currently being occupied by refugees and no mention of that when booking.I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Nous avons fait un voyage de couple. Cet établissement est bien situé et le lit est confortable. Par contre, notre chambre donnait sur le port et le matin il y a beaucoup d’activité, donc beaucoup de bruit. L’air climatisé aussi faisait beaucoup de bruit dans notre chambre. Un peu plate considérant le prix de la chambre. Nous avons passé un bon séjour

The staff was useless, extremely Rude and unhelpful. There was no one to answer the phone when calling the front desk, restaurant or housekeeping. Family friendly HECK NO. It felt like the double tree is trying to be fancy, catering to haughty clientele. There is no explanation to order room service, after leaving messages I finally got ahold of someone, they said they didn’t have bread. Completely unhelpful. If I could I would ask for all of our money back.

This hotel is highly underrated in regards to its current review score . (As a patron of many hotels in St. John’s ) This hotel is newly renovated , it boast the best beds in the city , great views of city and harbour / narrows , nice decor and some of the quietest stays one can get so close to the downtown core . The staff are ridiculously helpful , even when they’re completely full , they front desk and management really take care of their guests . I look forward to returning .

I'm a little disappointed about our stay. Nothing terribly went wrong, but there was a collection of small issues. First, the front desk staff were not very nice or friendly. Ever. Cold and stand-offish service right from check-in. We requested new towels, since there is no turndown service, and they left 1 towel and 1 face cloth, not really thinking that there were 3 people staying in our room. During this visit, they also left all of the dirty towels (I guess b/c there is no turndown service?). The room smelt like wet carpet, so we would open windows whenever we could. But it's pretty cold in St. John's in June and couldn't leave it open overnight. Our in-room directory didn't have a menu for the lobby restaurant, and the printed hours of service are different than when the restaurant actually operates. Honestly, it was just a weird service experience. I guess everything was "fine", but some small changes could have made our stay great. We'll try another hotel next time in St. John's.

It was close to downtown and busses so did need a car (rented one day 3 and left town). Local restaurants nearby - they were great. On the edge of downtown. Able to walk to a lot of tourist sites and parks. What I did not like was that our room was not touched for 3 days and saw nothing about that.

Le service aux chambres a été médiocre. Nous étions là pour 4 nuits. Malgré plusieurs demandes (4 en tout), et ce, dès le début du séjour, l’hôtel a procédé au ménage de la chambre que la troisième nuit. Le lit a donc été fait une seule fois, les poubelles vidées une seule fois et la salle de bain nettoyée une seule fois, et ce, à la fin du séjour. Déception pour un hôtel comme celui-ci.

Although the location is in downtown St. John's, the geographical site makes entrance and parking a challenge. Our room was very nice, but the lack of a bath tub (only shower is available) was frowned upon. Also, the show door itself would not properly close (maybe an adjus**ent is required). Restaurant and staff were very good but the lounge and bar area were closed during the afternoon. OVERALL it was a pleasant stay.
