Upon check in (at the bar, I might add, after waiting for customers to be served drinks), I went up to the 4th floor where my room was. As soon as the lifts opened the most awful smell hits you. I thought maybe the hallway was damp or some cleaning product was wafting through. Nope - my room was just as bad. No way to open windows or get fresh air. The smell was atrocious and almost suffocated you. Made it impossible to sleep. The bathroom was grotty and full of mould, particularly the edge of the shower. Someone else’s hair was all over my towels. The carpet was disgusting - stained and clearly not vacuumed as there was physical dirt just laying along it. Despite being given instant tea and coffee and a kettle (which looked grotty inside), there’s no fridge or milk. Never again. I couldn’t wait to check out and go home.

Good location close to trains & river transport-easy walk to city.No restaurant despite signage.Minimal options for breakfast & tiny rooms with no space for luggage!Small balcony available to put your suitcase.No table or microwave so can’t heat any takeaway.-shops nearby for hot breakfast & pub meals.Toiletries were good-comfortable bed-minimal noise from lane way.Only suitable for a single person.

This hotel is a good solid hotel which I previously stayed in when under previous management. The rooms are decent and comfortable. The staff are friendly. The facilities are a little limited (always were) so if you are looking for pool/gym/sauna etc you will be disappointed. However it is very close to the CBD and to Central Station so you can explore Brissie and surroundings very easily from here. My only criticism would be the lack of a good breakfast. When I used to stay here they did a very good brekkie downstairs which was a highlight. However, Brisbane is not short of some very good places to have breakfast so, while disappointing, it’s not a huge downside.

Liked the hotel and the location. Close to the CBD and Fortitude Valley. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and clean. There was a desk to work at and good air conditioning, which is important in Brisbane, even in April! Would stay here again.

Mantra Terrace is located within a short walk from the CBD, the staff were friendly and we had a pleasant stay. The hotel room was compact, but had all the necessary provisions. We stayed one night for a staycation used the bar and cafe downstairs which was pretty quiet.

Mantra Terrace is my 'home away from home' when I am working in Brisbane. Friendly and professional, it is my virtual home when travelling. Check in is always a breeze and am greeted warmly. They know my coffee order ...so I must be a regular... 😆
