We've just spent 4 nights here in a front sea view room with balcony overlooking the beach. Furniture on the balcony, including an ashtray which as smokers we appreciated. Room was very clean, bed including pillows very comfortable. Room fair size for two. Comfy armchair and a bench with cushions. Bathroom very clean and adequate size. Good range of toiletries provided. Minor point - I'm only 1.5m tall and found the soap and body lotion were mounted too high on the wall to be comfortable. All staff cheerful and helpful. Good breakfast selection including freshly cooked waffles and pancakes. Lifts were only a minor issue for us (although returning at midnight to be told both were out of order - our room was on the 4th floor, wasn't great) but if the hotel is full I can see it would be a major problem. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
訪訪客checking into a hotel, one would typically expect a welcoming sense of hospitality and warmth - at the very least. I did not feel that way with the ladies behind the reception desk. 1. Upon entering room, the bedsheets were sloppy, untidy and scruffy. This lack of care and attention to detail already spoke volumes to me about the hotel's take on caretaking and thoughtfulness of its service. 2. so no surprise then, that I later called the reception from the room to ask if they could loan me an international adaptor, to which they FIRST said I had to collect it myself at reception, and then LATER was quick to sing to a different tune by saying they had none left after I prompted them further and asked them politely why they couldn't send it to my room. 3. On my second day of accommodation, housekeeping knocked on my door - to which I jovially said out loud, 'no thank you until I check out.' The knocks came intermittently for another 6 times with 20-30 mins interval - until I had to get out of the bathroom to put the 'do not disturb' sign at my door. A little extreme with efficiency but, I mean, I kept saying it every other 20-30 mins, so I hardly think they needed the actualy door sign to get my point to begin with. Anyway, this major annoyance occurred the next day in the same fashion as well. All in all, great location for a hotel but the staff definitely need lots more training on the true QUALITY and PROFESSIONALISM of genuine HOSPITALITY. This is afterall, part of the IHG band so, my stay here this round was a definite disappointment.
訪訪客It's a very nice hotel, located in the center of the city. Beautiful design, the rooms are pleasant. The breakfast is good. Those who come with a car are advised not to park in the parking lot below the hotel, because it is expensive. We camped in a parking lot within walking distance (of course after dropping off our luggage at the hotel) on Geest Street 1. We had a less pleasant experience, our daughter felt sick, and they had no idea where to refer us and we were even sent to the emergency which turned out to have been closed for 3 years. So only health, and enjoy.
訪訪客I love Novotel as a chain, and have stayed at this hotel before and was quite happy. This time I felt things were a little off and I wasn't as satisfied. I seem to recall getting a free bottle of water in the room, which it appears is not included anymore. No more individual shower gels and soaps, but now big pumps of soap, which is OK if you have the complete set of them. Yes, it's more environmentally friendly but it's also a sign of cost-cutting. Breakfast was more or less the same -- good choice and quality -- except on a busy weekend they seemed totally overwhelmed and people had to queue to get a table. On a quieter morning, I noticed a sign stating one can request omelettes and poached eggs from the kitchen, so I did, and this dish never materialized, which was a little awkward. The fresh orange juice machine is awful: constant noise and queues of people taking ages to each make one glass of juice, as it requires that the user slice the orange and then ram each half, one at a time, into the machine, yielding a tiny amount of juice. Repeat for 6 or 7 oranges to get a glass... It would be funny to watch as slapstick if it weren't so annoying to listen to. On the positive side, the rooms are still attractive, comfortable, and quiet.
訪訪客用戶Super leuk hotel. waren er vroeg maar mochten gewoon inchecken om 12.30 uur. Hadden wellicht geluk dat de kamer vrij was. Gratis super lekkere koffie. Bed was heerlijk, wel wat klein. Top locatie.
