I asked in advance for a lake view as we were celebrating my husband’s 60th. When we arrived our room was upgraded and we got the view. The room was lovely apart from a nasty crack in the sink. The toiletries provided smelt lovely. The bar staff were attentive. We were slightly disappointed that most of the outdoor/garden terrace area was cordoned off & inaccessible. Breakfast was good. The lifts take an age and there was always someone waiting for them. If my husband didn’t have an injury it wouldn’t have been an issue as we would have used the steps. I thought the £15 charge to park was a little excessive.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. This is the second time I have stayed, and I don't want to stay anywhere else now.

Fab location, great decor in public areas and rooms. Would go back. Only downside’s: the parking charge is excessive, and on the Saturday morning breakfast wasn’t as well stocked: no fresh fruit or pastries. We assumed that was the norm, but the next morning, Sunday, was much better.

The hotel, room etc were dated. Breakfast was very poor, left entirely to our own devices, tables not set properly Food was cold and plates were not replenished on hot plate, couldn’t find anyone to refill. All crockery left on table, no room for side plates etc.

First visit to Southport and we were so happy with this hotel. It is in a very good location near the town centre and beautiful marine lake. We went on the promenade train which stopped just near the hotel. We drove to the seafront today and had a lovely walk. Will definitely stay here next time we come.

Absolutely amazing place, the receptionist upon check in was lovely, friendly and extremely helpful, we upgraded to a suite at check in and it did not disappoint, floor to ceiling windows, balcony, very large spacious rooms with everything you need, hotel was immaculate everywhere, checkout was very easy, would definitely recommend,

Large bright rooms. Very comfortable beds and pillows to die for. We were in Southport for a family event and so did not eat in the hotel. Huge underground car park, but a bit pricey at £15 per night
