大浦海灘飯店(Praia Da Oura)

We stayed as a family with a 3.5 year old son at the Praia Da Oura hotel for 7 days. An absolutely quiet and cozy place, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, especially its owners: at our request, they accommodated us in a room with a king-size bed, since the baby sleeps between us, they called us a taxi, they even helped me put on an Indian sari, provided me with a clothes dryer and ironing machine a board with an iron (at no additional charge), two bottles of water were provided every day. The hotel is located a 5-7 minute walk to the beach ***** an asphalt road, or you can directly on a dirt road, but for us with a stroller it was more convenient to walk on the asphalt. Breakfast is standard, but you can ask for something different (they made oa**eal for us). They offered to cook dinner for us, but we preferred to walk to the Kamron restaurant, where, by the way, the food is very tasty. We had lunch on the beach at the nearest shay, the food was delicious and everything was fresh! I can who***eartedly recommend this hotel!!! We thank our hosts for our wonderful vacation in Goa!

My husband and I were there for 2 nights. Our stay was pleasant and most unremarkable. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was attentive. The pool is big and gorgeous. As other reviews have noted - the location can feel a little isolated as there's absolutely no development in the area but everything (beach, shacks, restaurants) is really just 5 min away. If you want a quiet, laid-back stay, this place is it. It's better if you have your own vehicle though. The taxis are a ripoff. The wifi is very weak and there is very poor cell network in the rooms which can be a problem. We went in the low season so the hotel felt a little empty and melancholic. Also breakfast was quite limited. The omelettes we had were done nicely but we were later offered pancakes after we finished eating and had we known what all was available we might have made different choices. It was the only disappointing part of our stay. One more suggestion - A drying rail in the rooms would also be useful to dry out swimwear.

Excellent experience. Beautiful location. Friendly and smiling staff. Great service. Close to the beach. Surrounded by peaceful fields and greenery. Nice spacious rooms. Cool swimming pool. Luxurious bathroom interior.

Pros : 1) the location of the resort is beautiful , 500 m close to the Majorda beach (very clean beach). 2) The resort is very clean , spacious room and the best part is the swimming pool. 3) The staff is really cooperative and helpful . For instance we wanted sauté vegetables in the breakfast or a slight mis happeningwith our 2 wheeler which the owner took it upon himself and handled the situation nicely . Cons : Major con that we felt was the bad and unhygienic breakfast .For instance 1) food was not covered . 2) There were ants and flies everywhere . 3) No variety of food . 4) packed frozen mckain chicken fried in the morning. 5) no labels on the food items whether it’s veg/non veg . 6) no fresh juices/ cold coffee / muffins / cookies. 7) sugar sache put there were expired. 8) we asked them for a tooth brush and paste and they charged for it which was really surprising .

Praia da oura is strategically located between Majorda and Betalbatim Beach..beach is hardly 5 min walking from hotel. However, location is very secluded and no other construction is nearby 100m, which may give chills to some people. Definitely not recommended to stay in off-season, we were only 3 guests throughout the property, so it was lonely for us. Wifi also does not work properly. However, other facilities like front desk experience was good, food was good, though they only serve limited items and only breakfast. You will get a fruit bowl with seasonal fruits, veg will get idli sambar, nonveg will get omelette. You can request to make something on request, if traveling in groups or staying on a business trip. Pool is big and clean. They don't have any indoor games or books for entertainment, so it is advisable that you bring yours *****. Parking is ample so you can bring your own vehicle (which you will obviously need here). Rooms are cozy but beautiful and has a big balcony as well. All the fittings inside the room are premium. Beware of stray dogs on the street when walking outside, especially at night.

This hotel is ran by the most friendly and helpful family. It's in a lovely, quiet part of South Goa, yet close enough to shops, restaurants and so on. And of course the beach - it's literally a 5 minute walk to long, perfect, quiet beaches that have beautifully sunsets. The beach-shacks there have loungers, sun-umbrellas, and are happy to wait on you at the beach as you have the most relaxing time :-) As for the hotel rooms, they have a stylish, modern interior. All the equipment is new, modern and high quality. The showers are high-power / flow, in large walk-in glass shower rooms. The bedrooms are spacious (even compared to European hotels), return large, clean, comfortable beds. The linen is good cotton and changed every day. They have the best quality Japanese air-conditioning units that are whisper-quiet and very powerful and effective! The WiFi had good signal in my room, and by the pool. It had the inevitable occasional dropouts but that's the Goa telecom companies fault, not this hotel's. Another inevitable issue India suffers from is frequent power-cuts. But this hotel has their own backup generator! It automatically kicks in whenever needed so you aren't affected :-) Outside, the hotel had beautiful gardens and a lovely, cool, clear swimming pool. There were no mosquitos anywhere. The whole area was super clean and relaxing, and a real pleasure to be in. I visited a couple of other hotels in the area when I was there, (one was the Heritage that was much more expensive). They didn't compare for location, quality, or for friendliness and helpfulness. Nothing was any trouble for Praia da Ora: Arranging taxis, booking spa trea**ents, scooter hire, etc etc. I'm really looking forward to returning to Praia da Ora. I've travelled all over the world but my recent stay here was one of the most relaxing and comfortable I've ever had!

Nice rooms, helpful and polite staff and a good location. The one major issue is that they only serve one meal, that is breakfast, and it is cold, tasteless and completely unedible. We were told that it was cold because we were late everyday. Coming for breakfast at 10 when it is supposed to be served from 9 to 10.30 is not late.

Located near the beachfront, just a short 3mins walk from Majorda beach....the property owners are very warm and welcoming. The cleanest rooms i have stayed at during my Goa stay so far...i have stayed at atleast 4 other properties in a single trip to Goa this time. If you're planning to visit with family, friends or solo...i will definitely recommend Praia Da Oura for your stay. The airport is less than 30mins drive, the sea side view room which I opted for are having a great lush green and sea view. The breakfast and the rose flavoured chai is absolutely a great start to the day! If you want to rejuvenate and explore southern Goa, do stay here!
