蜜糖海灘總督度假村(Sugar Beach a Viceroy Resort)

Lovely setting. We were in a villa at a height with a view of the beach and the lagoon below. They have an excellent shuttle service with friendly drivers who take you around the property. It's very hilly and it rained a lot so we needed it. They also have a Butler service which had variable quality. I didn't care for the all white interiors of the villas. The beach is nice and the views are spectacular all over the property. The restaurants were ok - expected more for the price. The spa in the forest was an experience.

Read the reviews/ratings and expected so much more. I travel a lot and have stayed in 5-star resorts all over the world including in the Caribbean. This was one of the most expensive ones I’ve stayed in by far. To start, once the room was booked, most places send a welcome greeting & ask about transportation from the airport..I received nothing. When we did arrive, they took us right to the room. With this being a VIP access hotel, I’m used to the hotel offering an upgrade or explanation of the perks. Nothing. I asked the butler if I would get an upgrade and she said she would get back to me. She never did. I went to the front desk twice and they said they would get back to me. No one did. The perk is only given if there is availability but the fact that no one got back to me says a lot. The room was nice but no wow factor. The breakfast was not that good. And probably the biggest takeaway of my time here is everything is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. From the cab ride, to room service, to lunch, spa, dinner, drinks…it makes no sense why everything is so high. The saving grace to this place is the scenery is beautiful, the staff is nice, shuttle service is a great perk, and the food is good. But the hype isn’t valid. I’ve wanted to go to St Lucia for yrs. I heard good things about it, but not sure I would come back. Well if I did I would try a different resort. Been to the islands a lot and for the price & experience at Viceroy Sugar Beach, it gets a 4/5 from me.

Aside from the obvious (amazing view, beautiful property, gorgeous rooms) the customer service provided by the staff at Sugar Beach is the most wonderful I have experienced in all of my travels. They made everything seamless from the day of our arrival, to the last second. The attention to detail is unmatched - when we mentioned we were going to hike Petit Piton, the staff filled our room with bottles of water to ensure we were hydrating the night prior and the day of our hike. It's the little things like that, that make a big difference. We were really impressed by the way the staff communicate with each other to make sure our time spent here was personalized and as relaxing as possible. It was a very memorable getaway, and I've already raved about Sugar beach to everyone I know. As for some recommendations: We really enjoyed the sunset cruise, snorkeling, a walk around the rainforest spa, and the dinner at The Cane Bar (the ginger creme brûlée is YUM).

Me and my husband went there for our honeymoon. It was truly the best experience I cannot express. How lovely Sugar Beach is. Only thing I could say is that the food is just OK considering this resort is top notch. The food does not match the quality of resort as it is extremely expensive. You would think the food was excellent. That is the only bad thing I have to say about this place. Otherwise it is amazing, there’s not much to do at night, which would be kind of fun for the honeymooners to have things to do but we didn’t do the hot springs botanical garden and sunset cruise, which is absolutely amazing one day we shall return. Thanks for everything Sugar Beach.!

This property is beautiful and the best we have been to in the Carribean region. Staff was amazing and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The food at the restaurants on the property was good but in our opinion did not meet expectations of the price being charged. That being said, we would definitely return to this property and of course St Lucia.

This was the most amazing experience we have ever had. We will be returning. Everyone on the staff was amazing - Afra, William, Kissa (best smile!), Kingsley, Laris, Peter (amazing butler!), Sammy, Kwame (on the grill), Otis, Marcus (security - great!). Can't say enough good things about the experience.

We spent 6 nights in the sugar mill and had a wonderful experience. We got a butler, cell phone and excellent service during our stay. I give it 4 out of 5 stars only because the price of everything is a bit exorbitant for what you get and there was a few charges that we had to dispute due to us paying cash on some of our bills ( the staff thought they were tips). Who gives a $400 tip on a $350 tab? I went to the spa which is a true experience and I recommend doing it. Breakfast buffet was ok but it was complimentary which was nice. Drinks were delicious and the beach was perfect. There’s a second smaller beach but we only visited briefly. There are shuttles you can take if you’re staying in a villa. There are 4 restaurants but we only ate at Saltwood, Bonte and an Asian. We weren’t in love with the Asian but liked the Saltwood and Bonte. Off site we ate at Ladera which we recommend at sunset, and Rabot hotel which we weren’t fans of. Our butlers were Tracey and Ned and they were great. They set up all reservations for dinner and mineral baths. There is a 10% charge for service and a 10% VAT so be aware you are already paying quite a bit on top of your bill. We took a catamaran out for a few hours by ourselves but it probably wasn’t worth it. Everything is super far so you are aware, but you can’t ask for a better location! You are right in between the Petons and it is very majestic to wake up to it every day. Overall, We highly recommend this resort.

nice quiet spot.. 4 to 7 day max would have been good 11 days far too long. No upgrades , perks etc, service very good all around.

One of the most memorable stays we have had over the past few years’ Upon arrival to departure we were treated so warmly as family. Korina the manager made us feel at home. She upgraded our room category as I was celebrating my birthday!.. Butler service was amazing, special shout outs to Ned, Jeffery and Felicia.They were very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. I highly recommend this resort and hope to be back!
