科伊瓦景觀別墅及餐廳飯店

Eenvoudig hotel met uitstekende ligging in Santa Catalina. Prachtig Zicht op de Pacific. Bescheiden ontbijt en zeer bescheiden lunch- en dineermogelijkheden. Er waren wel werken bezig aan het hotel tijdens onze aanwezigheid… die niet op voorhand aangekondigd waren… Generator in het hotel is excellent tijdens de veelvuldige electriciteitsonderbrekingen

Punaise de lit! Fuyez. On a été dévorés. Nous avons trouvé des traces de présence de punaises de lit sur le matelas. Cet hôtel n’a rien á avoir avec les photos et le standing qu’il pense avoir. L’hôtel a annulé notre réservation sur booking pour que je ne puisse pas faire un commentaire.

This place was a real let down. Having booked due to reviews on trip advisor I’m afraid the views don’t make for a 5 star rating. The place is really run down. Tarpaulins covering the main hut have been there for a long while. The pool is tiny and you cannot swim at the beach by the hotel. The rooms are very tired albeit clean. The staff especially Vanessa are super nice and so so helpful. There was no internet and hardly any phone reception. Apparently this was a Santa Catalina wide issue. Did not eat at the place so can’t comment on food. To be honest for the price it’s not worth it. It’s a shame as this place has so much potential. As mentioned staff are the redeeming feature of this place.

Santa Catalina is a cozy village with very good food and wonderful surroundings. We had the ground floor villa/apartment in Vista Coiba. This was pretty outdated and humid. We had some bugs because of cracks in the walls. We heard the neighbors upstairs, but for me that was not a problem. The shower was excellent: spacious, an unlimited amount of hot water and very high pressure. The beds were good and of a good size. We even had an extra bed in the living room as we requested. Breakfast was simple (eggs or pancakes and some sliced fruit) but good. All staff was extremely friendly. Especially Israel, he was very helpful with figuring out how and where to pay our traffic fine, which is pretty complicated in Panama (you have to go to an office which is 2 hours driving from Santa Catalina).

We really enjoyed our stay at Vista Coiba. A family of 4 , we stayed in the apartment. The sunset views were incomparable and the meals at the restaurant were very good. The accommodations are very basic , and can use some improvements , like hooks for towels, clothes in bathroom and bedrooms , a power outlet for coffee maker in kitchenette and a few kitchen supplies. We also recommend a hammock on the terrace. But all in all, it was clean and the staff was very attentive and kind. We loved the dogs that live on the property.

We stayed for 2 nights as a base for wanting to visit Isla Coiba. The owners went above and beyond for us! Sunset scenery is just amazing. Room was a good size. Bed comfortable. Air con and fan. The shower was only hot or cold water so we forgot to mention that and not sure if anything could have been done to fix it at the time.

As a digital nómada family, for us is important space, location and strong wifi/electricity. The sunset view from the hotel is marvelous. If you are a digital nomad DO NOT stay in this hotel. Very poor electricity supply and wifi is NOT good. We booked a suite with kitchen, it was advertised as two bedroom and it was not. No utensils for cooking. Weird smell.

Hay otros hoteles, pero si te quieres sentir en casa y bien atendido, quedate en Vista Coiba. Israel te recibe y te ayuda en todo. La comida del hotel es muy buena. Relax, silencioso, y a medio camino entre la playa del pueblo y el Estero. Aquí mismo te cuadran tu tour a Coiba
