盧布爾雅那Occidental(Occidental Ljubljana)

Very nice and beautiful new hotel with awesome location! There was a guy at the reception (forgot his name,but he’s from Kosovo) with excellent guests relations skills and knowledge! Also a tattooed girl in the bar was very nice. Hotel like hotel, can be good or bad,but people ar this hotel are very,very,very nice and polite! Will come again definitely!

Ok but charged 35 euro for parking key They told me to drop it near the gate but was a trash bin did not receive enough and clear instruction from dront desk ladies park in level -3, after the supermarket in level -2..... very confusion

Prachtig, modern hotel. Ideaal gelegen in Ljubljana centrum, vlakbij restaurants en het kasteel. Comfortabel bed. Gratis kluisje. Engelstalig, vriendelijk personeel aan de 24-uur receptie. Half uurtje rijden vanaf de luchthaven van Ljubljana.

I am aware this is a newly opened hotel, and sometimes there are teething problems, but it was a brilliant stay and I would stay there again, along with highly recommending. I can only hope it will continue being the same after a few years' time when it has been used if different seasons. I stayed in Winter/January and it was warm, cosy and comfortable. The only downside I do not like personally is the fact that the room doors do not have peepholes, so you cannot see who the person(s) is, should someone knock on your door.

This was a profoundly disappointing experience - not what I’d expect from a 4 * hotel in a European capital city. On check-in for our 4 night say I was asked for a 200 Euro deposit against hotel extras. This hadn’t been mentioned in any of the booking or pre-stay notification emails. The toilet in our room malfunctioned on the first night: wouldn’t stop flushing -it was impossible to sleep, There being no overnight maintenance staff we had to pack up at midnight, move rooms and the unpack again. We were refused a discount on the bill for this + we were only belatedly/ grudgingly offered a free drink in the bar. The rooms have been ‘concept’ designed and have no cupboards or draws -making it impossible to store things neatly. Windows don’t open and the aircon is on a fixed band (21- 25 C) -reverting to the high setting every time you leave the room. I woke up with a seriously dry mouth every morning. Cleaning staff routinely ignored the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign and tried enter anyway. The hotel advertises as having a restaurant-it doesn’t. The ‘Sumi Restaurant’ is just the hotel breakfast room and is inoperative at other times. The food is cold because the heat lamps are inadequate/ill positioned. The vile synthetic ‘fruit juice’ is undrinkable. There is no decaff coffee available at breakfast (though it is provided in the rooms). The place is clean, central + staff are pleasant. Otherwise it has nothing to recommend it -especially with several better 4*s nearby.

Perfect hotel offering an amazing location. Rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money, I would happily recommend this hotel. Check in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is a short walk away from the old town, beautiful location. My room was quiet and so very comfortable, I couldn’t fault my room.

Neues Hotel modern ausgestattet,.Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar, die Altstadt sowie die Burg oder die verschiedenen Museen.Das Personal war immer freundlich und beim Frühstück war für jeden etwas dabei. Unser Zimmer mit Stadtblick war sehr ruhig.

Die Lage des Hotels ist Bestens. Die Zimmer sind neu, sauber und modern eingerichtet. Die Aussicht von der Zimmerterrasse auf die Burg und Altstadt ist fantastisch. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The location of the hotel is great, very close to most of the sights to see. Bright and modern lobby. Kind and helpful staff. Great view from my room to a church top. Delicious breakfast :) A bit tiny bathroom and toilet.
