Man fühlt sich wie im Märchen ein super schönes authentisches Schloss. Schon der Nachmittagstee mit Gebäck war super und auch das Menü am Abend war sehr lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert. Ein Spaziergang durch den Park rundet das Erlebnis ab.

I stayed in this Castle for a wedding some years back and I loved it so much that I wanted to arrange for my parents to stay a couple of nights. My parents loved it. One of Ireland's best Castles to stay in. Magical place. The rooms are the best I ever stayed in. Some of them are massive and have a real castle feel, but with all the comforts. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

We had the most incredible wedding we could have ever wished for at markree. The staff are faultless down to the finest detail, I even had a member of staff appear with a blanket when I got cold taking photos outside, they were so attentive to our needs without us even having to ask, the decor and grounds are immaculate and nothing was too much trouble for them. All our guests commented on it being the best wedding they’d ever attended and that is completely down to the staff at Markree. The food was like nothing we’ve tasted before so fresh and delicious. Thank you so much to the whole team for executing all of our wishes and making sure the day went off without a hitch!

The castle itself is breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful scenery that feels like something out of a fairytale. And the rooms? So elegant, cozy, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax. It was an unforgettable stay, and I’d love to come back again!

We were married in late December 2024 in Markree Castle. We and our guests had a wonderful experience. The stunning surroundings, warmth of staff, fabulous food and attention to detail made our wedding day perfect. The castle and grounds also provide an amazing setting for wonderful photos.
