維拉麗瓦公寓(Apartments Villa Riva)

I stayed here for five nights and am so glad I came home to stay here. The last time I had walked through the front door of this building was with a shovel and a wheelbarrow 30 years ago. What they have done with this place is nothing short of perfect. Beautifully restored with 12 apartments. The quality and craftsmanship here is remarkable. The stairs alone receive comments from guests. There is a landscaped garden to the rear that would suit a wedding reception, and then there is the heated pool. Everything about the Vila Riva Apartments is perfect. The building is perfect, the grounds are perfect, the four ladies who look after this place every morning - they are perfect. It’s not the first time I’ve been to Slano and it most definitely won’t be the last.

Slano is a small quiet town but with a bus service to Dubrovnik so there was enough for a week. There are small boats coming and going throughout the day. The apartment is very nice indeed, freshly fitted out with all the appliances you'd expect and more. Take a washing machine pod as that was not supplied. Nice bedding and good WiFi. There are two communal verandas off the first floor, large, well maintained grounds and a small but attractive pool. The staff spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. They didn't have recycling but we returned empty bottles to the little supermarket and found a recycling area just beyond the school for plastic bottles and cardboard. With a licence there is fishing from the tiny beach areas and lots of opportunities for walking and cycling - very scenic but hilly!

The apartment (no 7) was spotless, really well equipped with lovely staff. We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t warm enough but the sitting area was relaxing and the olive garden at the bank was beautiful. Slano is a sleepy village with a stunning harbour to walk along with a few restaurants but great bus service to Dubrovnik every 2 hours and always on time. We had a car so explored for a few days - Ston and Cavtat. Both good roads and lovely places to spend a few hours. Thank you Vila Riva, would definitely recommend.

There is nothing not to like about the apartment (number 10) It's spacious and clean with everything you could need for a week's stay. The friendly staff are there in the mornings and it's easy to gain access at all times. There is a dishwasher and tabs and a washing machine (no tabs). All that you would expect - bottle openers, sharp knives, mugs, chips, glasses, plastic glasses for the veranda, two good hot plates, a kettle and a microwave and a lovely shower. The view at the front is of the sea and at the back are spacious grounds and a very smart looking swimming pool. Nearby, in this small, quiet town are restaurants, bars, a bakery, summer clothes/sunglasses shops and a little supermarket for beer and basics. There are also bus stops to travel to Dubrovnik (€3.50pp each way) and Ston. I won't take any stars off for the unusually awful weather.

We are a family of 4 adults and stayed for 10 nights in a 2 bed apartment which was spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The air con was excellent and meant we all slept well. The beds/towels were changed half way through, along with a quick clean which was appreciated. On arrival we found the apartment had 2 double beds rather than the double and twin set-up we had on our reservation. We were quickly offered a solution of an additional single bed which worked well. The pool area was lovely and there were always sunbeds available. We loved the views from the apartment, both front and back. Slano was a perfect size with enough restaurants and shops for our needs.

Vila Riva apartments in Slano are beautiful , spotlessly clean and the staff are amazing. Pool is lovely and Slano is a lovely town. Apartments are on a working harbour and can be noisy at times if you are in a harbour facing room but views are beautiful and it is good to see Slano busy and doing well. Free safe, aircon and wifi. Kitchen was small but functional room 10 has no oven but no big deal as there are a few really nice resaurants on the doorstep. Two beaches 15 minute walk away nice and clean with showers and not crowded. Would recommend Vila Riva 100%. Thank you to the three lovely ladies who run the place for looking after us. Stayed in apartment 5 with my daughter, it was very spacious, well equipped, immaculately clean, had access to huge balcony and had absolutely stunning views. Slano was beautiful and the area felt safe, friendly, easy/cheap 45 min bus ride to Dubrovnik plus Slano itself has boat trips, around 7 restaurants, a couple of bars, a bakery and water sports. Would highly recommend and will very likely go back.

Stayed here for 1 week apartments are great. They have everything you could need, Very clean, amazing views over the Harbour. Pool area lovely and lots of beds. Attaching photos as it shows how good it is. Would recommend to all. Staff were lovely too.

Excellent apartment well equipped and in a beautiful location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really great value for money and have already booked to come back next year. There is only a small food store i the area so recommend going further afield to a larger supermarket if you want to cook in the apartment.
