The hotel went over and above to help me with a problem - I highly recommend this hotel if you come to visit lovely Skopje. Although this hotel looks a bit utilitarian from the outside, inside, it offers a warm welcome, very clean rooms and good quality of room amenities / bathroom products etc. I was travelling on my own, and when I had a small logistics problem they went entirely over and above to help me. I was really impressed - the kind of service and customer care you would expect from a top 5* hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the City Park in Skopje, couldn’t have gone any better. The location is great, just across the street from the beautiful city park and close to the river cycleways. It was only about a 20 minute walk (5 minute bike) into the heart of the city and Old Bazaar area. There are tons of cafes, restaurants, shops, and convenience stores within a few hundred meters of the hotel. The staff were wonderful! Reception was very friendly and we were fortuitously allowed an early check-in as well as an upgrade to a suite. We would like to single out the super friendly and helpful Mary who helped to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Our room was amazing – very large, bright, and airy, very clean and modern. We had a large sitting area leading out to a balcony overlooking the park. The Wifi and TV worked great as did the little minibar. We had a hard time controlling the AC and couldn’t really get the room as cold as we wanted at night. The king-size bed was very comfortable and we had a good sleep – there was a little bit of road noise but nothing excessive. The onsite restaurant was excellent! One of the best restaurants we found in Macedonia. We ended up eating most of our meals there. Service was fast and friendly. The free breakfast was excellent as well – really a good start to the day. The only criticism I can offer is that the free bicycles they provide for guests were a bit old and in not-so-good condition. We used them and had quite a few mechanical problems. The bike fleet could use updating. In any case, we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this place as a great base for your stay in Skopje.
