Absolutely amazing gem of a guesthouse. Lovley very clean accommodation, bed was amazingly comfortable and the landlady is the most Lovley welcoming person you'd like to meet. We had a few problems and had to alter the date of our stay and she was amazingly understanding and extreamly helpful. We didn't have breakfast but I tell you what, it smelt bloody lovley when she was cooking it lol. Philmar is about 15 mins walk from the main area of skegness but it's a lovley quiet place to stay. You won't go wrong staying here I cannot recommend it highly enough and would definitely stay here again.

We found a little gem here! What a great experience. We enjoyed a spur of the moment 3 night Easter break at The Philmar Guesthouse. Joanne is such a lovely lady, she feels like a friend. Joanne gave us lots of helpful pointers on where to stop for coffee, lunch, best places to eat and best places to visit. The guesthouse is incredibly clean, the beds are extremely comfy, the en suite is also spotless. In the lovely sunny dining room we enjoyed our breakfast each morning which included a selection of juices, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, followed by a delicious full english breakfast. Joanne even gave her guests an Easter Egg on Easter Sunday morning. Little touches like this make you stand out from the rest Joanne. Keep doing what you're doing because you're smashing it!

Just back from this guest house, I simply cannot recommend it highly enough, very clean, lovely rooms, good food and best of all very accommodating and courteous hosts. We have to visit Skegness regularly for business and will certainly be using this hotel in future.

We stayed at the Philmar Guest House for 3 nights while visiting family and we really enjoyed our stay. Joanne is such a lovely, friendly host who catered for us so well. Our room had everything that we needed for a short break- towels, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. A very comfortable bed with a good choice of pillows, and a good hot en-suite shower led to a very enjoyable stay. I’m sure we will return to stay again soon, and we highly recommend staying at the Philmar.

Nice house beds OK sort of clean . Found the owner totally rude and unwelcoming. We where scared of her we asked for an extra tea bag for the room only to be told that we have to pay for I tea bag and extra milks of which we honestly think this is disgraceful. When we arrived she got mixed up with the bill . When she was serving the breakfast her hair was long and not tied back totally un hygienic she was rude and very unwelcoming never have we stayed in such a unfriendly place. We will never be going back again we also advise for everyone to stay clear of Joanne and her philmar guesthouse and very expensive for the way we where treated.

I stayed for a couple of nights in August in this lovely, friendly hotel, whilst I was moving house and needed temporary accommodation. The lady who runs the hotel is very friendly, very helpful and keeps the place looking lovely. I had a double room which was clean and tidy and had everything I needed to hand; tea and coffee, fresh towels, toiletries. In the mornings I had a cooked breakfast which was delicious. I got to know the lady who owned the business quite well and she told me about local news and events that were happening over the summer, as well as advising me on local garages because I needed to get my car looked at. I could not have wished for a better host and I would not hesitate to go back again.
