We have stayed at the Ivydene before with the other owners and our experience this week with Claire and Kitty was exceptional.A very warm welcome and all the rooms we’re spotless.I am a big eater and the breakfast certainly fills you up.We were given directions to the local pharmacy when my wife was ill during the week,The beds are very comfy and we are returning at the end of August.Location is spot on with the town centre being only 2 minutes away.

This is the worst guest house I have ever stayed in. We booked 2 family rooms for the Reggae Festival in Skegness for the Weekend. The owner Claire was rude and abrupt upon arrival. We had to pay to pay for the children at 45pp per night even tho children under 3 was free. We was also had issues at breakfast we recieved the wrong orders every day of the stay. The pork sausage was of poor quality, although plentiful it was disappointing. We late down one day and recieved dirty looks and bad service. We had booked this location for the close distance to the Reggae Festival which we attend every year. We like to access the rooms as and when we please hence booking a guest house with close proximity. This was a issue for the owner she text me at 9pm and asked us to be quiet when entering as we had woke her children- We wasn't even in!! We was also accused of leaving empty cans of alcohol at the entrance and this also wasn't us. TBH I would avoid at all costs! On the final day of our stay we had to exit the rooms by 11am. We was packed and out by 10.30 on returning to collect our luggage we was told we was not returning into the premises for our belongings. The owner claire then proceeds to scream and shout at us and physically attack one of our party. She threw our luggage threw the doors onto the road. All while kids was present in the guest house. It was appalling and we called the police. We paid £800 for a weekend for a terrible experience and physical attack and abuse from Claire AVOID
