錫爾斯瓦爾德豪斯(Hotel Waldhaus Sils)

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne in das Waldhaus, für uns eines der angenehmsten Hotels in der Schweiz. Selbstverständlich ist die Lage ausserordentlich schön, mit Sicht über das Engadin, sehr ruhig gelegen, wie ein Märchenschloss thront es über Sils. Was den Aufenthalt aber einmalig macht, ist die persönliche Atmosphäre. Die Besitzerfamilie ist omnipräsent und kümmert sich vorbildlich um ihre Gäste. Täglich wird nach dem Wohlbefinden gefragt, man gratuliert den Gästen zum Geburtstag etc. diese persönliche Note fehlt in den meisten Hotels heutzutage, da nützt der ganze Luxus nichts, denn diese persönliche Seite fehlt. Nachmittags in der Halle zu sitzen, bei Kaffee und Kuchen, und der Musik zuzuhören ist einer der angenehmsten Momente des Tages. Und auch nach dem Abendessen gibt es live Musik, auch dieser Moment ist einfach nur wunderschön. Es gibt luxuriösere, pompösere Hotels, die Atmosphäre und der sehr persönliche Service hier sind aber einzigartig, wir kommen gerne wieder. Und die meisten der Gäste sind übrigens auch langjährige Stammgäste, das spricht selbstverständlich für sich… Vielen Dank an die Besitzerfamilie und alle Mitarbeitenden für die tolle Gastfreundschaft.

Im Juli verbrachten meine Familie und ich 4 grossartige Nächte im Hotel Waldhaus. Das sehr klassische Hotel Waldhaus erfüllt alle Bedürfnisse einer Famile und bietet viele Leistungen für Erwachsene und Kinder. Grosse, elegant eingerichtete und vor allem saubere Zimmer tragen zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt bei. Sehr freundliches und gut geschultes Personal runden das Erlebnis ab.

Magnifique séjour dans un hôtel familial de grande classe, où les prestations sont de qualité, où tout est fait par la famille pour que les hôtes se sentent bien, sans recherche d'un luxe apparent inutile, "le vrai luxe" donc.

Quelques jours très spéciaux dans cet hôtel incroyable ! Beaucoup d'informations ont déjà été données dans les commentaires précédents et tous ces petits détails s'additionnent pour vous donner un réel sentiment de bien-être et de bonheur. Si on ajoute le cadre et les merveilleuses randos que l'on peut faire littéralement à la porte de l'hôtel, c'est vraiment le paradis.

I recently spent two nights at the Hotel Waldhaus and couldn’t be happier. The facility is gorgeous and thoughtfully maintained. They have done an amazing job integrating modern amenities into the historic soul of the property without missing a beat. And of course the hotel is situated in what is one of the most, if not most, beautiful places I have ever visited. The hotel retains all of the grand charm that has drawn discerning travelers for 115 years but it’s the world class hospitality that impressed me most. The hotel owners greeted me when I arrived and every member of the staff had my name memorized immediately. I was particularly happy to be picked up in Sils, late in the day and tired after hiking, by the hotel shuttle driver who greeted me kindly by name. I checked out on July 4, my birthday, and received happy birthday greetings from Patrick, one of the owners, and a special cake to take with me to my next destination. Bravo Hotel Waldhaus for an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful. From the rooms to the service to the overall hospitality. Enjoyed our stay immensely. The lunch and dinner menu had many wonderful items but my favorite was the tea in the afternoon. It was one of the most relaxing, wonderful stays away from home in a long time. Will definitely be back for more.

Everything at the Waldhaus was absolute perfection. We stayed here for four nights for our honeymoon and were so overwhelmed with the beauty of the property and the surrounding landscape, the friendliness and care of the staff, and the old world charm of this historic hotel. From the moment we arrived at the Waldhaus, we were greeted warmly by the staff and owners of the property. Our room was so well appointed and had the most amazing view of Lake Sils. The turn down service every evening made returning to our room after dinner like returning home. The food is delicious (you have to do the half board option!!) and the nightly menus kept things interesting and fresh. The spa was beyond anything we had ever enjoyed before, with a steam room, sauna, soaking pools, and relaxation rooms. We went on a hike through the Fex Valley and were in awe of everything we saw. It was like being transported back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities included. Though I'm happy to be home, I will always miss the Waldhaus.

We travelled from Canada to visit this amazing property . Firstly , it’s location is spectacular . The hotel is OLD WORLD CHARM , definitely different from most hotels. The fact that the owners are present on the property and visible assures for top quality service . The superb service combined with the immaculate kept property , makes this hotel so exceptional . The rooms are very comfortable with every amenity possible. The front desk staff are so helpful , and aim to please in every way . The dining room is classic old world service and the food is beautifully presented as well as delicious . The breakfast buffet is fabulous with every imaginable variety of food . Excellent service ,beautiful rooms , delicious food , magnificent scenery and surroundings, makes this hotel an excellent choice for any holiday . A truly magical outstanding hotel !!!!!!! Highly recommended!!!

This hotel follows the days of elegance and although very modern in the way it functions it is like stepping back to a time that the guest was the most important consideration. Family run since 1908 it retains the splendour and the family influence can be seen in every aspect of the functioning of the hotel. The public areas have an air of sophistication lost in many modern hotels and the Restaurant served delicious food both for dinner as well as breakfast. During our stay a Buffet Dinner was arranged and the variety on display was beyond belief. A real credit to all of the catering staff as well as the dining room team. Most of the family responsible for running the hotel introduced themselves without being over familiar which made one think it was their pleasure to serve you and you certainly did not feel just another number. The rooms take you to another era, very classical but also very efficient as well as upholding the expected Swiss cleanliness within. It was only a brief visit but one we shall remember for a long time and if you prefer a wonderful location with lots of added extras, this is the place for you. Very highly recommended.
