un vero paradiso: location fantastica, personale squisito, camere super confortevoli, cibo squisito, servizi della camera al top (bagnoschiuma, asciugamani, lenzuola, ecc)...insomma veramente eccellente. La vista è impagabile...abbiamo anche visto la luna sorgere dal mare di notte...che spettacolo!

Merveilleuse vue sur la mer Egee. Situé dans une partie plus sauvage mais proche des centre d’interêt, ce boutique hôtel séduit par la qualité des détails, son confort et la gentillesse de l’équipe. Un choix intelligent loin pour les adeptes du calme.

Views of the sea and sky. Nice but not great. Things I enjoyed are the breakfast was lovely and a joy to take it overlooking the breathtaking cliffs bellow. The proximity to Bostona restaurant. The swimming pool is Devine and a great place to chill while reading that holiday book. The lunch menu was great and the meat burger was delicious. The veggie not so much but still nice. Things I found a bit frustrating. The smell of the drainage coming from the shower area. The noisy air conditioning unit that was a cheap model. For these prices a better quality unit with lower Db rating would be appreciated. Maybe mine was broken. I swatted 6 mosquitos before going to bed and did not see any repellent plugs in the room. The cocktails were strong but the taste was not great. Customer service was a little dry. After mentioning the air con issue I did not feel it was taken too seriously. Anyway a decent enough place but did not quite live up to the amazing expectations I had.

Verina Astra is a little paradise nestled into the hills of Sifnos, overlooking the ocean, and easily the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Greece. Upon arrival you’re greeted with welcome delicious drinks made with ingredients grown in the in-house garden and the staff are super lovely and inviting. Our room blew us away, and we couldn’t believe the view! The rooms are tastefully decorated and stocked with organic toiletries, a mini bar and delicious snacks. The room service menu was also very yummy! I recommend visiting their restaurant Bostani, which was incredibly tasty, using local produce. It overlooks a beautiful view of the ocean and a small town named Kastro (which is worth visiting). This hotel is a tranquil haven that you will not want to leave. Whether you are relaxing in your room or by the main pool, you will feel right at home and at peace surrounded by nature. You can also take a short walk down to a small cove below the hotel which is perfect for a morning swim. 10/10 would recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights, sadly it should have been more. The hotel is a tad remote, but we rented a car at the port and getting there was easy. We had the room above the kitchen(with the giant terrace) but it wasn’t noisy. As it was October, we could sleep with the windows open and it was lovely. Our room was perfect, a good size with great couch area separate from the bedroom. We had the fantastic breakfast a few times on our patio. We had the cutest little black and white cat stop by for visits a couple times a day(we may have encouraged this a bit). We took advantage of the great walking trails that Sifnos has and took the path from behind Bostani to Kastro for a lovely seaside walk. The staff were all very helpful and happy to assist. The main restaurant had just closed for the season, so we didn’t get to try it… next time. My only complaint was the pool, it wasn’t heated(first world problem). Given the abundance of solar hot water heaters on the island, I would think it would be quite easy to attach one to the pool, just enough to take the chill off in the shoulder seasons. The property is but also isn’t remote. But I think you need a car to really take advantage of Sifnos or at least efficiently take advantage. We found a little store close to Artemonas and purchased the usual hotel supplies(snacks and sodas) on our trips to and fro. We can’t wait to go back.

This is one of the most wonderful hotels we have ever stayed in. In a wonderful position high above the Aegean, overlooking a beautiful little blue-domed church and clear turquoise water, it oozes charm. The suites are effortlessly chic but unfussy with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting space, providing privacy and tranquility and stunning views across to Paros. There is an infinity pool with very comfortable seating ( though shade is not very easy to find). The staff are unfailingly charming and attentive. The complimentary breakfast, which can be taken either in the small restaurant area or on the terrace of your room, offers a good range of delicious goodies. (A little way down the hill is Bostani restaurant, which is separately run but affiliated to the hotel. We dined here once and the food was excellent, though we found the service did not match the quality of the restaurant’s aspirations). Stay at the hotel and skip the restaurant and you will not be disappointed.
