Where to begin? We spent four nights at Le Aquile in Siena, and had a memorable stay there! This lovely little hotel is on a beautiful, quiet side street that's a one-minute walk from Il Campo. The building is historic (as all of them are in Siena!), with shutters that charmingly open out from the hotel's windows. Everything about the building appears to be authentic to its vintage. Our bedroom was as pictured -- large and airy, with frescoes on the ceiling and a contemporary bathroom that includes a fancy sink and walk-in shower. The bedroom was super-quiet, and the king-size bed featured a mattress that was incredibly comfortable. Among the best aspects of our stay there was the warm and hearty welcome extended to us by the owner, Massimo. He is one of the nicest, kindest, friendliest people we've ever met -- truly a fantastic host! He told us all about Siena -- where to go, where to eat, what to see, how to get places, etc. Incredibly helpful. We felt as if we were guests in his home. To add to the overall experience, the hotel's concierge and manager is also helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Ada gave us insights about Siena and answered our many questions, with great patience! She even walked us to the taxi stand as we were leaving Siena. Thank you, Massimo and Ada, for an unforgettable stay in Siena! We hope to see you there again one day!

Very charming and close to landmarks. Massimo had a wonderful aura about him and was so nice and helpful. Our king bed was very comfortable. We loved staying here and Siena! We hope to come back one day.

Perfect location for Siena central. Very quiet. Very Clean room. Perfect stay. Friendly staff. Only one critisim is that there is no breakfast although their name is bed&breakfast. But not problem, I suggest this nice place for stay in central Siena.

This guesthouse is very well located, close to the Piazza del Campo and other historical sights, as well as many great shops and restaurants. It's also not far from a transport entry/exit point for taxis, buses etc. It's located in a very old building but the guest house has been meticulously renovated, revealing original frescoes and has been tastefully modernized. Despite being so close to a main thoroughfare, it is very quiet. It is also spotlessly clean. The best part of all though is the father-son team of Massimo and Andrea who run the guesthouse. They are absolutely delightful and their recommendations of what to do and see in Siena were spot on. They kindly made dinner reservations for us both nights, at short notice, and both meals were delicious. Their warmth and hospitality truly enhanced our stay is this beautiful city. I highly recommend staying here!

We spent two nights here in Siena and we already feel like family. Massimo and his son went out of their way to make dinner reservations for us, help us set up museum visits and see the sights of Siena. I couldn’t make a higher recommendation if you are planning to visit Siana. There is one flight of stairs but they are easy and well spaced. You are one block from Il Campo, just off Via Di Citta, the Main Street. There is a grocery store two blocks away, a wine shop across the street, and a coffee shop that opens at 7 AM in Il Campo. We will definitely be back!

This residence is beautifully updated and in the located in the heart of Siena. Despite this, it was very quiet. The hosts Ada and Massino were very helpful in providing information for a perfect 3 night stay. I can highly recommend without hesitation.
