My worse onsen experiences traveling all over Japan so far. Old rooms, small and shabby bath and lack of facilities for the price we paid. The worse thing is not even these. We booked through trip.com. There is only selection of adding dinner and lunch without options of meal plan. We arrived and found out only our meal is different from the rest of all guests in the hotel. The horrible thing is breakfast. They gave us a rice ball breakfast box that looks dated for us to eat next morning. They certainly don’t”t care if their guests may get sick. We checked this hotel’s price on Japanese booking channel with meal plan selection and found out we are not paying any less to trip.com. So, is this issue between trip.com and hotel or issue with hotel? Giving guests bad quality food is not acceptable in any case. Picture is showing our dinner vs the other guests and the horrible breakfast box. I called trip.com but they couldn’t solve the issues. Their agent on lithe phone doesn’t even sound either patient or nice. They claim our meal plan comes with our standard room. But the Japanese guy staying in between our two rooms in the same room type having the other meal plan also. I
