The best thing about this place is the furniture and architecture resembling the old Arabic style that existed in this religion long ago. The food was terrible, marketing that they have different restaurants is laughable as they all have the same menu. The bread was always stale, burger was probably one of the worst I have had in a while. The staff was horribly trained. Took 20 mins to order water, some of the staff are quite rude (although most of the staff were kind and helpful—shoutout Mike for the bike ride. The bartenders were never attentive and when sat down at the restaurant they would avoid eye contact until we had to go up as ask what the deal was. I ordered a drink to the pool, and after an hour of waiting, I asked one of the waiters where it was, and they had forgotten. Despite the intense heat, not once did anyone ask us if we wanted water—had to ask ourselves, which sounds pretentious but this was marketed as a 5 star, so that is the bare minimum. At dinner, they moved us twice from our table to a table right next to the grill which smelled of smoke, saying there was another family that had booked the table we were originally sitting at (even though the receptionist said at the beginning that you do not need to book for any of the restaurants, which turned out to be false). Lo and behold, nobody ended up sitting at that table so we were moved for no reason. There were people smoking in the restaurant on New Year’s Eve, who were also quite rude and disrespectful of their surroundings. Probably friends or family of the owners, who I’ve heard from other reviews are horrible and racist people. Again, beautiful hotel, but I am never coming back.

Posizione tranquilla e cibo buono E qui finiscono le note positive Abbiamo avuto un problema con un condizionatore che ci ha impedito di usufruire di una stanza per l’intero soggiorno e non solo non sono riusciti a risolverlo, ma hanno anche preteso che pagassimo l’intero importo Lo staff - tranne qualche caso - è freddo e distaccato. Ma la cosa peggiore è che al nostro arrivo all’aeroporto nessuno era lì ad aspettarci, costringendoci a pagare qualcuno per portare i bagagli al molo dove aspettiamo la barca per un’ora sotto un sole cocente Non lo consiglio

Stayed for 6 days with my wife and we really enjoyed our stay. Just from our arrival the staff were so kind and friendly. The ladies are the reception were also nice especially the main one (can’t remember her name but she’s dark)… she really paid attention to any complain made and ensured everything was dealt with accordingly enabling us to have a splendid stay. The rooms are 100/10 in terms of space, ambience and cleanliness… also loved how they maintained the ancient culture on their property felt like one existed back in time of the Arabs Food…they have 3 restaurants with spectacular food besides one called BREEZE… it is the main one… the food there is PATHETIC!!!!… don’t bother having your meals there… but the other 2 had the best meals that’s where we ate at for the rest of our stay. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay plus the activities… especially the sunset Dow and tubing… my wife and I had the best time… Thank You Majlis… we shall surely return 😊

The architecture is beautiful, they have multiple rest areas with amazing views! Loved their sports center, with variety of activities to choose from . The service is top notch and the manager Mr Josiah Nyakundi made it extra special for my daughter’s birthday.

Mi chiedo cosa ci sia, di piu utile ed efficace per il "sistema Italia" , di un Hotel di lusso gestito cosi bene, con cosi tanta classe cme il Majlis di Lamu. Sono gli imprenditori come Stefano Moccia ed i managers come Enrico i veri ambasciatori del Made in Italy nel mondo. Altro che i burocrati delle Ambasciate! Un hotel di Lusso in un'ambiente incontaminato e mozzafiato, che merita pienamente i cinque stelle della sua categoria. Raffinato senza essere stucchevole, elegante senza essere pretenzioso, esprime con classe i migliori sentimenti di un'ospitalità seria e confortevole, completa ed esaustiva di ogni desiderio di relax . Ricevimento gradevole fin dall'aeroporto, con la barca vi portano in sette minuti direttamente all'Hotel, camere grandi e spaziose arredate con stile, molti ristoranti, anche a bordo piscina, servizio inappuntabile e veloce, dietro il quale si vede la regia organizzativa di un management motivato e intraprendente (e, aggiungo, attento a tutti i particolari). Colazione a buffet sterminata e di alta qualità, cibo in generale nei ristoranti ben impiattato e presentato, insomma tutto perfetto, eccetto una cosa, piccina picciò, che per un italiano è però importante: l'espresso! Che può essere migliorato, cosi come i brand di vino italiani presenti nella wine list, non tutti di grande lignaggio. In conclusione, do i miei voti: Location: 10, Menu: 9, Servizio: 10, Conto: 10. L'orgoglio che proviamo da italiani a vedere una struttura cosi ben gestita ci riempie il cuore. Congratulazioni a tutti, grazie a nome del 'sistema Italia' e continuate cosi!

A hidden gem in lamu County ...I would recommend the majlis paradise to all my friends..Good food, friendly and attentive waiters good service from waiter kariuki at Mediterranean restaurant kudos guys will be back soon...The rooms and room services were also 👌 nice
