We had very spacious rooms with 2 extra beds and a small balcony that we didn't really need ... but it was nice to have the space. The bathroom was small in comparison, and it would have been a bit of a nightmare if there were 4 of us sharing that room. The drainage was also not good enough so if there were too many people at the lodge having a shower than our shower didn't drain properly and the water simply filled up the small bathroom and went out into the entrance of the room (nowhere near the beds but still not exactly ideal). The pool area was the best part about this. Plenty of places to lie in the sun or shade and tables to play some cards. The pool itself is a little small given the size of the place. If there's more than 2 people in it then it starts feeling crowded very quickly. But, perfect just to cool yourself off and get ready for some more lolling about around the pool. The restaurant is also very spacious and has a cool fireplace area, although only around 10 people can sit around the fireplace, which, again, is not a lot considering the size of the place. The food was disappointing. The fixed menu sounded great. But the portions were tiny and the quality was disappointing for the price that they charge. All-in-all, it seems like a good place for touring companies and large groups, but I'm not sure if I would ever recommend this place to individuals or small groups.
The camp offers two levels of camping, rustic and with amenities. Our area offered an outdoor covered kitchen for cooking and meals with a grill. The area contained a clean toilet and hot showers. The camp store offers a variety of camp staples, snacks, wine, beer, and something you might have forgotten. An outdoor covered area allows customers to enjoy a meal, beverage, or snack. WiFi vouchers are free and last about one hour. Service available only at camp store Friendly staff esp Rejoice and Fabian
TTrail27114075525The setting of this lodge is remote and close to magical. App 75 minutes north of the maingate to the world famous Sossusvlei dunes. Set close to a ridge and with wildlife aboundant around the hotel, this is the perfect setting for getting to the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The bungalows are above average without being ”first in class”, while the two pools are nicely placed in the middle of the resort. The evening buffet and morning breakfast buffets are plenty and good without being outstanding.
